1500 Laramie Sport Wheels

The Off-Road Package comes with Falken Wildpeak tires.

I haven't heard anything else about it but I believe so. A memo went out to dealers months ago about there being a shortage and that some Laramie Sports would come with the standard Laramie rims. I think that might have only affected stock orders though, not sold orders.

I have the Laramie sport package and it came with 22 X 9 "polished painted" wheels with Goodyear Eagle Touring tires. Must be a California thing, because most every Laramie sport I've seen on the lot, had the 22s.

My new truck just came in and it has the correct wheels.

Hi I am new to Ram trucks and recently became interested in the 1500 Laramie Sport. However, when I build with the configurator online it shows the 20x9 wheels - Painted with Inserts which I prefer. However, it seems like 99% of the Laramie Sports in the Houston area have the 20x9 five spoke polished wheels. I noticed there is no additional charge for this but I would prefer the wheels that are on the configurator as they look better. Is this something the dealer is ordering or an issue with wheel availability when the vehicles were ordered?

Krypto,

You may want to check Auto Nation in Katy. That’s where I bought my truck, and they had a boatload of 2019s (back in June, but they had a ton more trucks than anyone around).
I didn’t notice the wheels on the Laramies but it’s worth a shot.

Ok to make things more confusing apparently there is another version of the Laramie sport wheel. I had a dealer take some photos of a vehicle I was interested in but only the stock photos were online and he came back with these. It looks like some sort of variance to the other sport wheel however I zoomed in and it looks like it had 22s with Goodyear Fortera tires. I asked the salesman to assure they they were not some dealer add on and the window sticker shows 20x9s. There was no additional charge on the window sticker. If I find any more information ill pass along. But maybe RAM is changing the stock wheels for the Laramie sport?

The center cap on those don’t have the rams head, and they look very GM to me. Knowing ram and gm have the same bolt pattern that could be possible.

Yah I just looked on Chevy website its like a reversal pattern of the Paint/Chrome Combination of these wheels . Could this be some sort of manufacturing glitch. The window sticker like said has 20x9s

Yep, those look like aftermarket.

I was looking at the build sheet for mine, and although it first says "20–Inch x 9–Inch Premium Painted Wheels w/Inserts" under the Sport Appearance Package, at the very bottom/end of the list it says this: "20.0–Inch x 9.0–Inch Premium Paint/Polished Wheels ". This is kind of sneaky. I'll ask talk to dealer about maybe swapping the rims for the correct ones it comes in.

My dealer had the perfect truck sitting on the lot, a fully loaded Laramie but it had the basic 18” rims. I was very interested in the truck but they refused to swap the rims, so the search continued until I found the perfect spec. Maybe you’ll have better luck than I did.
