Yep, same exact build date. Mine is coming to Sacramento, CA. RAM said today that it is in shipping status with an ETA of 2/17 to 3/2. You could drive a truck through that window (pun), so we'll see.

Rail shipping can be very unpredictable. Not sure if it'll affect your route, but pipeline protesters have shut down Canadian National Rail's main East/West line forcing the cancellation of hundreds of trains. If you're not impacted, you should get yours first, otherwise, who knows.

I’m waiting for a Sacramento arrival as well. Ordered 12/17/19. ETA 2/10-2/24. Still in shipping status. It will be interesting to see when you get yours.

4x4, ecodiesel, crewcab, bighorn 2, trailer braking control, blindspot detection, navigation, bed utilitiy group, black 5 seat interior. Dealer said it was related due to "production cuts" and they would try and pull it forward if possible.

My order is very similar to that. I’m coming up on almost 2 months since I have ordered so I wonder if one of our options like the eco diesel is holding it up

I ordered Ecodiesel Longhorn Crew 4x4 on 12-14, they started assembling it 12-27, it got caught in the three-week plant shutdown, build completed 01-23, it sat in "final Inspection" for two weeks, is now in transit, ETA at dealership in SoCal 02-24.

Well damn there goes that thought. I did see in another post that Mopar is completely sold out of tow hooks. Now I mean that is a huge stretch but maybe that’s the cause. I’m not sure if the trucks come with any parts from China, but again another huge stretch would be that due to the almighty C-virus is causing a delay in parts shipping

I got the tow hooks and mine is saying that all parts are available but just waiting for production. Hopefully it will go into production soon.

Ordered a 2020 Ram rebel on 12/27/19.
Eco Diesel, Equipment level 2, Rebel 12, Ram Boxes, MFT, Side Steps, Bed Cover, Pano Sunroof and Black out package
Dealer gave me employee pricing even though it would be over when it came in. Still haven’t received any updates as of yet.

Well talked to dealer today. We are 2 weeks after estimated ship date of 1/31. Says its still processing. Not sure what that means. It’s been 7 week and doesn’t look like they have even started. If I find a truck that is close I might just buy that instead of the crazy waiting with no progress.

Probably means there are still some parts missing.

I placed a deposit for my custom factory order on Tuesday with the understanding that they would let me know when the order was submitted to the factory by the dealer. After 4 days of silence I contacted the salesman and...after a lengthy delay before getting back to me...was told by text (not even a call) "allocation hasn't opened according to my GM". Kindly, he offered to check again on Monday.

Could someone explain the dealer/factory order process to me and share their experience? Maybe I'm just being paranoid but this whole experience up to now has been odd. First, they seemed very laid back about starting the process once we had agreed on the price. They didn't seem to have a set policy regarding the amount of the deposit, the receipt for the deposit, or even a form or statement listing the specifics of the agreement.

They charged $1,000 to my credit card and gave me only the credit card transaction receipt and offered me nothing else detailing the deal. I had to request something to acknowledge my deposit and purchase price. Should I have to ask for this? There was no mention of the deposit being non-refundable as a couple of other dealers had made clear. Is there a standard policy here or can I request my deposit back if I'm not happy with their handling of my order? I had nearly as good deals offered at a couple of other local dealers on the table and a better deal at an out of state dealer but went with the best deal locally. Now I'm having second thoughts...

What are my options? Should I just take a "chill pill" and trust the dealer is doing their best on my behalf?

Please share your thoughts and experiences so I know what I SHOULD expect.

That all sounds a wee bit sketchy to me.
.
Of course every dealership will operate differently, but here is what I have experienced:
The two times I have placed a custom order, the dealership took a personal check (at one dealership it was $1000, other was $500), they gave me a photocopy of my check, then just stapled the check to my paperwork and put it into the file with my order printout. I also received a copy of the initial order workup sheet (showing the model and the list of all the options I chose), with pricing on it, which both I and the salesman initialed. Their policy was to hold onto the check, not cash it, and when the truck arrived and I took delivery, they would tear up the check and I'd pay for the whole thing as if there had never been a deposit at all. The one time I refused delivery of the truck I ordered, they handed me back my deposit, put it on the lot, and it sold within three days (it was a beauty, nothing odd about it at all, very mainstream with a decent set of options).
.
If your dealership took a credit card, I would expect them to put a hold for that amount on your card, but not run it through completely. Then, cancel the hold when you pay for the truck in full, or, if you jack them around unfairly, then they would have the right to release the hold and take your $1000.
.
In truth, if you order a "mainstream" truck, they can sell it in a heartbeat, and if they are an above-board dealership and ultimately you decide to decline the truck, they should just refund your deposit and put your custom order on the lot. If you ordered an unusual combination or an unattractive color scheme, then I can see where they would keep your deposit, because they likely will have to discount that truck to get rid of it.
.
But by your description of what happened, I myself would be leery of the way that particular dealership handled it. Call around and ask the other dealerships exactly what their policies & procedure are for custom orders. If other dealerships have a more coherent, trustworthy ordering policy, cancel your existing order before it gets input to the factory system, and get a refund on your credit card.
.
BTW, your comment that "allocations have not opened up yet" could possibly mean that the factory is not letting that dealership order trucks at this time, for any one of multiple reasons.

Like the answer so far, here’s some more info.

Dealers get “allocations” aka a number of cars they can order. Each OEM does it a little different, but basically, your dealer ran out of allocations, and has to wait a period of time until they can order your truck. Don’t know how long, but they do. I would ask them to either refund the deposit or guarantee an order date that you can live with.

When I ordered mine, the dealer had allocations, and the Priced Order Confirmation was in my hand two days later. That POC had the ship date estimated almost right (2 days late) but shipping was 3 days early, so 30 days order to arrival.

Thanks! I did not know this...so I didn't ask as I assumed that the order would go in the next day or so. This salesman told me this but when I called back to speak to the "internet sales manager" she told me the person who does the ordering had been out sick (conveniently) the 3 days following my deposit and was off the weekend. Just bad luck...or does something stink here? The order person (not sure of his title) is supposed to call me back today so I'll give them a chance to explain to my satisfaction before I decide to stick with them or start over elsewhere.

I was in D1 on Friday and when chatting this morning with RamChat, they let me know that I was already in paint. That was fast. would think in the next day or two, I will be in the up fitter stage for the spray in liner. Moving right along.

I might be in for a record build time in my first ever Chrysler product.
My customer build order was submitted on Feb 5, vin assigned Feb 8, and Paint status Feb 15. And it is now out for accessories (bedliner, tonneau cover and sidesteps)
No window sticker or build list available yet.
Shipping should be fast as my dealer is less than one hour from the assembly plant.

Heck, if Ilived that close, I'd try to arrange to pick it up at the factory myself ;-)
.
Good luck!
