Auto Anything is having 30% off on the neoprene seat covers with a 1 year price guarantee. MSRP $169.99 reduced to $118.99 for front or rear. Seems like a good price. I only installed the rear and it took about 2 hours, front appears a lot easier. It did not come with the tool kit as advertised (subsequently sent after an email) on the website. Not a big deal, used a spatula and some string. Coverking has installation videos for the 2019 Ram 1500.

The coverking video shows that the side has a flap instead of being one piece. Is that sufficient? Don't know, but I hope the manufacturer takes the air bags into consideration.

there are a few options that list in the $250-350 range for the rear seats. Nothing stunning though that I think is going to hold up to dogs and kids and gear potentially

carthartt (253$) has likely the best option (but not what I want) I’ve found so far but again two piece foreach seat which means liquid and dirt fall between the cracks instead of streaming to the side which is preferable for cleaning and odor treatment since the liquid or dirt will fall to the floor matt or the plastic molding of the side of the seat

I might just get a “luxury” pet one piece seat cover that drapes over the headrests to hold it up and falls to the floor. If it doesn’t have access to the seatbelt receptors then I’ll just cut holes in it and use some clothing specific glue to repair the material so it retains its integrity - easy enough

I like the Orvis. Not that many people in the back seat these days, tools and Costco food runs. I've had the rear seat covered with towels and/or a moving blanket to protect the covers. Served my purpose until I wanted to get under the seat. This gives some protection and convenience at a reasonable price. Have not decided to do the front yet. Shying away from pulling the console plastic around the cup holders, pretty tight.
To protect from dogs along with kids is a challenge. Best of luck, post some pics when you finally decide.

I'll have to get back to you on the heat as I have not received or installed the front seat covers. BUT I have a towel and Seat Armour and my wife noticed that it was not heating up as fast. Can't help on the cooling. If heating and cooling is an issue, put the Seat Armour on and just flip it over the headrest when the need arises. CJ Pony has them and I believe 15% off today. I believe I paid about $60 for 2 without the discount. The Seat Armour is like a large towel that goes over the headrest. Someone on the forum directed me to them.

I have these covers on my truck:

1. They are designed for seats with airbags. They have slits in the side for the airbags to come out if they deploy.

2. The seat warmer works fine through the seat cover. It cuts the heat strength slightly but in my case I prefer it that way, as the seats were too hot before.

3. They are wearing very nicely after a year. I use my truck for construction and they have held up well to dirt, sawdust and stuff like that. I haven't had to retighten mine at all so far.

I haven't had any problems with minor water. If you pour a bucket of water on them there might be some water penetration but if you are just talking about wet pants or a wet dog they should 100% work.

I love these covers and would buy them again in a second. The fit is fantastic and they look really good in the truck. I'll find a picture and post it in a second.

No, it comes in two pieces. You put the bottom on then you put the back on. But the cover wraps all the way front to back on the bottom, so dirt/water should just roll off through the back - unless it got in on the small side seam areas near the side plastic.
