I am having the same issue with the remote commands from both the mopar web site and the uconnect app not working after the vehicle is off for 30 minutes or so. I called uconnect a few days ago and they said that this is a known software issue that they are working to resolve. There is no ETA, however.

This sounds like a "WLAN", wake on LAN type of issue where a processor goes to sleep, but fails to wake when a signal appears at its input port. I’m in a loop with the Uconnect folks, because part of their testing is to start the truck from the ignition and test the SOS function. This wakes the truck up and it works for the next few hours, and they never see my problem. How did you get a star case opened. I’ve called them four times. The problem seems to have continued in to the 2020 models!

What does the TSB actually mean? I can’t find anything online about it.
I bought a 2020 Ram 1500 with the 12” screen.I am having the exact problem listed in this post as most people I was reading about it for an hour or two last nights. I called Sirius today and they told me I need to put a security question and answer in to fully activate my account and it could take 24 hours for it to activate. I told the lady on the phone that there are hundreds of people out there describing my same problem and she said she’s never heard of it...
Guess I’m waiting until tomorrow to call back

I just got back from the dealer as I was going there for my first oil change anyways and asked if they could do this. I gave them the TSB number, it took awhile but they found it. It is a software update for the Radio Frequency Hub. I attached the relevant section from my service receipt. I just got back to work so I will have to do some testing later to notice if there was a difference but it does seem that there is a software update out there.

Ironically they now come out with a TSB for a software update as a fix. I had the issue from when I got my truck over a year ago and contrary to what I argued they always said it’s hardware related. Ultimately, they replaced my radio and it worked for a a few days then died again. I spent hours over 3/4 days on the phone with Uconnect and Sirius complaining and trying resets...until one day it magically fixed itself. It’s been good ever since. I believe they sent an OTA update or something similar. Hmmm. Not software related huh? I obviously didn’t need a radio swap.

So I had the update done over lunch, I tried remote starting my car from the app after work and it worked fine. So about 3-4 hours and it worked. I haven't been able to do that before. Only one test but I will try again in the morning after it has sat all night. That will be closer to 12-13 hours. So far so good.

Interested in your response. I have a service appointment on Thursday morning and would like to get this fixed while I'm there.

Just so I am 100% clear, you are talking about this update, correct?

My build date falls outside of the defined date range above, but I see yours does too.

Update: I tried again this morning after it sat for 12-13 hours and it worked again no problem. Very limited testing but it seems like it works. I will say the app still has no health reports so for those hoping for that it is still not there.

Yes that is the update I am referring to. As for the build question yours and mine both fall within the range in the TSB. They worded it weird in the TSB but basically this update is for trucks built from 10/6/18 to 10/29/19. So they must have rolled out the fix on the line on 10/30/19 but the TSB came out basically a week later for trucks in the field.

The stuff is GARBAGE. After my accidental hit on SOS - and it dialing, and no one picking up for 35 - and having to disconnect the battery to turn it off (even with the truck off, locked and walked away from) - I called to CANCEL THE SERVICE.

I called them back to see if I could just activate the Uconnect stuff, and not the SOS or Assist - and they told me NO - all or nothing.

Considering they get $20 a month after the 12 month trial, for this worthless crap - HARD PASS. There's nothing there worth that much, even if it all did work as advertised.

I wonder if this TSB - is part of the "fabled 4Q 2019 Update" they're supposed to be releasing to fix the numerous reported issues with the 8" & 12" systems?

My Viper Alarm in my '12 Honda Pilot had all these features (except the SOS) - they all WORKED. It's a shame that one of the most "enticing features" of this new generation, is sadly one of it's bigger disappointments. 2020 Trucks rolling off the line with 2017 Maps in the GPS, and no word of any updates (or if they're going to COST EXTRA)?

In RAMS defense - this is a ground up re-design, and has many new features that couldn't be adequately beta tested before releasing production. But we're into the SECOND YEAR of production, and they're still shipping trucks with THE SAME BUGS.

SHAME ON YOU RAM!

10/29/19.... I see now. I initially read both dates as 2018.

Thanks for the response.

Took the truck in today and they applied the RFHUB Update. Only time will tell . . .!

Yesterday I called Sirius to try to help and they insisted the problem was because I didn’t finish my activation for my account by inputting a security question. What crap. But I did it anyways for due process. I Worked all night shift, hit the remote start button from my app and...like I figured before I even entered my security answer...I went home in a cold truck. So I called the dealers service department today and told them my issue and that I know there’s a TSB out for it that has limited testing but appears successful. He told me at first that to do the service bulletin with out diagnosing it themselves would cost me...I insisted that wasn’t true and told him my problems in detail and how I don’t want to leave my truck there overnight to test it and boom I’m booked in to get it done tomorrow under warranty. Which should have been his answer to begin with.

I have a 2020 Laramie and the app is garbage. My old GM app worked perfect for auto start and downloading address to navigation. With such a high tech cabin of the RAM you'd think they would have developed have a compatible phone app!

I had TSB 08-114-09 done today on my 2020 Sport and it has worked every I tried app since. Usually after 1-2hours of getting out of the truck i'd get no reply. After 6 hours today, worked fine.

I had mine updated this morning at the dealer. Tested it an hour later and it worked. Before the update it would only work a few minutes after turning the truck off. Fingers crossed. I will test more and update.

My 1 week old 2020 limited (I’ve been following this thread closely so knew what to look for ) had the same prob after 2 hrs + commands not working. Had update done on Friday. Works every time now ! Tested after 18 hrs off and worked like a charm.
