You know, mine can slide around if I force it, but my clamps do not have slack. I was just thinking about this due to the new posts in this thread. So far, I've left it alone and really haven't noticed any issues. Then again, I'm not doing 90 in this beast. And after car washes, I've only noticed a bit of water near the tailgate...it seems to seal reasonably well.
I only get a tiny bit of moisture in the rear corners but not puddles. I just dont like the way its loose and can slide back and forth.

Mine is the same. Slides side to side a little, but no big deal to me.
Also, I do get water if I blast it with a hose, and even then, it's very minimal. If it's just rain, no matter how hard, again, very, very minimal water drips on the sides and tailgate. Actually I am very impressed.

Yep if it wasn't for the sliding issue I'd be very happy with it.

Besides sliding, mine was flapping up and down a bit. The rear seal on the tailgate wasn't touching completely. I used spacers just thick enough to tighten it up and stop the sliding and flapping. In my mind, the flapping stresses the clamps more than tightening them up. Surely they were intended to hold the cover down more firmly.

If you move the clamps to the locations I mentioned it doesn't move at all. You also don't need spacers to increase the clamp pressure since the ridges under the lip of the fender increase the pressure enough to hold tight.

VaderRebel: i would like to take you up on the offer if tool list and pics for fixing tonneau issue. It would be greatly appreciated.
No drilling required.
From my previous post:
So you could either use a ratchet or impact drill with a 10, 9 and8mm sockets and a couple of small torx bits ( * head) . You'll start by removing the hinge assembly's closest to the tailgate and the rear corner guides, note that you'll need to peel back the corner flap to remove a screw to take off the longer torx screw holding the corner together. It all starts to make sense as you go. Once you have both clamps moved to the rear section, don't tighten them, drop the cover and adjust the position of the clamps and then tighten. If you need more help, let me know!

How do you remove the rear corner flap?

It's tricky, but very doable if you take your time and look for the inner screws under the vinyl (you have to carefully peel the corner vinyl off the corner tab to expose the inner screw). You also have to remove the thick weather stripping to get it apart. It's unfortunate that because I did it myself, I didn't have a free moment to document with photos. I regret that.

Crap, or crappy install? Some things, as we're all discovering, are not perfectly installed from factory, but that's what warranty protection is for.

I gave the soft trifold a 5 out of 10 because I initially thought it was a cheap, loose fitting cover. I was intrigued by the folding and quick release functionality of it.

Looking at it closely this morning and learning the mechanics of it, I've decided it was poor installation and not product quality that turned me off at delivery. My personal opinion is the factory is installing the lockdown handles too far away from the tailgate, causing water to penetrate and the rear of the cover to flap at highway speed.

So, out come the tools and you basically have to disassemble the rear 3rd section to move the tiedown handles to the other side of the support rail, closer to the tailgate. And viola, a nice, straight and snug fitting tonneau cover for ya! Equal to the Truxedo roll up, now that it fits tight.

Anyone wants a tool list or complete instructions and pics of finished fit, let me know.
I would like to know how. Also, do you have to move all 4 or can you just do the rear 2?

Just the rear two.
I would do this but mine is fine. It only moves if I move it, and I have almost no water intrusion, so YMMV.

Personally, I found moving all four was time well spent. With all 4 adjusted it will not move or flap at any speed. It's actually a nice cover once you fine-tune it.

Just be careful not to scratch the vinyl and take your time, not a job to rush. Just a little pointer for those moving the front clamps only... if you use my sweet spot and don't adjust the rear clamps to the corresponding rear sweet spot the cover may move.

Tailgate sweet spot:

That bump is the same idea as a spacer. It will increase clamp force.

Also doubles as a "stop" to keep the cover from moving if you move the rear clamps to the corresponding bumps at the other end.
So I just decided to tackle this job and it wasn't so bad. The worst part was peeling the fabric off of the rear corners. Took me about an hour and a half to move the front and rear clamps. It's much better now.

I found its a "must do" project if you're going on the highway or live in a wet climate. This should actually be a TSB in all seriousness. Owners shouldn't have to take apart the tonneau cover first week of ownership.

But it does work well after the adjustment... just should be adjusted like that from factory.

Yeah I'm not sure why the latches are placed where they are; doesn't really make sense.

I had the "flapping" issue and was ready to move the rear clamps back, as I thought they were too far from the back. On further inspection, I noticed that the front driver's side and rear passenger side clamps didn't fully grasp the rail, so I figured I'd make the dealer do some work first. It took some effort, but they finally agreed to install new clamps (they didn't think it was going to work). I'm not sure if they replaced all or some, but now it fits great and all four clamps make contact. Based on before and after pics, they are still in the same locations.

I see the "bumps" in the pics posted, but my rail is smooth end-to-end. I was looking for something like that before, thinking it would validate that the clamps are in the wrong place. The pics look like a std bed, and I have the Ram Boxes, so that is probably the difference.
