Why so many black wheels?

Well I wasn’t saying to run 26s, I’m just saying the wheel is decent. It would look good in a 20/22 on a 33/35

I know I can't be alone here. While searching for new wheels, most of the ones for trucks seem to be black. I can't stand them. It just blends in with the tire. On a black truck if you're going for the murdered out look, fine. But everything thing else just looks blah IMHO.
It’s just more people with good taste. That’s all...

Like @SilverSurfer15 said, polished alloy look great but are maintenance heavy. Especially if you live in a salted road environment. Not only that, more labor intensive for the manufacturer. Powder coating is far easier and cheaper. Probably a big reason why the black wheel was initially made.

So far, mine have been fairly easy to maintain. However, my truck is garaged and I wash and wax it regularly including the wheels. I also kept my stock 18” wheels/tires, which I plan on putting back on the truck from December through March, so that will help...but they’re sooooo ugly!

If we are being honest it has to do with cost.
A good chrome wheel will have a higher cost, and polished even more. I wouldn't mind slapping some Fuel Forged, American Force in a heartbeat and rock that chrome/polished look. But I don't have 4grand for wheels. I do however have $1250 for a set of black/machined wheels and it gives me a different look.

I do agree, some black wheels just disappear in the distance.

Any one see a black 2019 with the antharcite colored wheels? I've been trying to find something that isn't solid black so it doesn't blend into the truck. Something similar to the pictures below but without and after market bumper and full suspension lift. Also they look bronze on that truck.

Couple people have those on here. Don’t know their names though. And not sure they are black. Did you try custom offset gallery? Filter by those wheels.

Mine isn’t black but I recently installed the grey Rebel wheels on my truck. I absolutely love them.

Damn that looks good. I can probably use your wheels to see how they’d look on my truck in PowerPoint. What tires do you have on??

I bought the Hankook Dynapro AT2’s in 305/45r22. Great tires!
