Besides the price $100 or $450 what’s the difference when u build a truck between the $100 black and the $450 low volume black

Well, if you want a quiet truck, you want low volume black.
If you don't care about noise, go with regular.

Sorry.
Low volume might mean some kind of limited edition?

Go on build your ram and it’s a option on any model

Ok. I looked for new colors for 2019. BFG was one of them. No mention of a different Black.

Sorry, absolutely no help to you...
Looks like I missed the perfect opportunity to shut up.

Cheers!
Gerry
I meant that I looked up new colors for 2020

Black Clear Coat vs Black Pearl?

Maybe the addition of clear coat is the extra expense?
Cheers
Gerry

Well I’m trying to find that out! Is one better. Stronger

Well, common sense would suggest that the more expensive option would be better, but I wouldn't bet a lot on that. (Ask the guys that the tow mirrors)

It's probably one of those things that you have to see in person.
I could see the added expense if they added a thick coat of clear....

The 100 buck black is a metallic black, more flashy.

The 400 black is just black.

Low volume because they don't use it much. And why it is more is because, they do not use it much.

Low volume colors are usually for tradesman, they are usually a match to tractors or big rigs or for construction.

The high volume are your regular colors, the ones that look all shiny and nice.

Thanks for the real info. I am getting a tradesman. Well I guess if the paint isn’t heavier than it won’t be worth it for black

Yep. There is no difference in how the paint is applied. High volume means sales more. And low volume means less used. It costs more because they can not do a large run of them on the assembly line.

I would say 98 percent of black tradesman RAMs are the high volume 100 buck black...someone would have to have a reason to get the 400 buck fleet black, or a discount of 300 bucks lol
