Picked up our 2019 Lonestar Crew Cab yesterday.

Options: 3.21 rear end, Rugged Brown Pearl Coat, Lonestar package, North Edition, Level 2 equipment group, 4x4 with locking diff, etc.

MSRP: 49,670
Rebate: 9934
Dealers Rebates: 5755
Final price before trade and TTL: 33,981
I looooooove the rugged brown color! That's a helluva deal too.

*Edit*

I also want to present the current deal I'm considering:
Rugged Brown 1500 Big Horn 4x4 5'7", with Rambox
8.4" Screen, middle console. Level 1 Equipment Group. Honestly no notable frills beyond that.

MSRP: $48,350
Discounts & Rebates: $11,343
Also offered to toss in a hard bed cover of my choice for free (Oh hello, Lomax), might work them to add a spray-in bed liner as well
Before TTT: $37,007

What's everyone think? Decent deal?

My last deal fell through so I'm looking at a level 1 Big Horn with Off-Road package MSRP $48,305 - Dealer Discount $3,245 and 20% manufacture rebate of $9,661. Final sales price of $35,399. They said its the best they could do without seeing my trade. This puts me at 26.7% off MSRP there is a little more room there. I haven't had my Chevy Z71 with 163k miles there yet. I'm shooting for 30k out the door. I'll pay the tax title and fees.

Keep us posted. No idea what they will give you for the Chev, thats likely a wholesaler/auction truck so probably low blue. You didnt say the year so can’t tell. If its a Z71 and reasonably clean then you are wanting what, $5400 value?

First offer from first dealership going to. Let me know what you guys think! I think I can ask for a little bit more off on sales price. Going to ask for bed liner and front leveling kit. They gave me extra 2k on trade in. 33k is what I am asking. This is for a big horn.

Do you know what's the breakdown on the rebate and dealer discount is? Only reason I ask is some inventory in that trim have a 20% rebate (15% of oldest inventory). Either way you should have some more room. 25% off should be the minimum price, 27-28% off is great, 30% is exceptional. Currently there only offering you a $4,090.50 dealer discount, which is a little less than 8.5% dealer discount.

Cant comment on the trade aspect of the deal. But the 6.7% dealer discount is very weak. The price looks great but you have to remember 20% of that discount is straight from the manufacture so its costing the dealer nothing.

With the trade in the deal it's hard to know how they are working the deal on their end. That aside the dealer discount is only 6.8% which is pretty weak. You should try and push more off on the sales price.

Thanks for the info! I don't know the rebate and discount numbers, but I just e-mailed to get that. I'm clearly new to the numbers game. I'm thinking I'll tell them $34,500 before TTT, only if they throw in a hard bed cover and Line-X the bed.

So after some issues with the Black Ram i was looking at, I decided not to take delivery. Luckily I was able to work out an even better deal with Lake Norman CDJR in Cornelius, NC (Just north of Charlotte). Their internet manager Mark Moysabi is a great guy and bent over backwards to make this a smooth deal and help me get past the issues I had at the other dealership. I was in and out in under an hour, probably closer to 30 mins.

Ended up between 25%-26% off, but with the better trade I was fine with that number.

Good luck to all!

That's a great deal! The bedliner though will cost them less than $200, not sure on the strips.

I think the reason they haven't come down more on the dealer discount is because of my older trade and their isn't a lot of value there. It's in great shape for the age but it's more risky for them than a newer truck. I could probably get a deeper discount if I didn't trade and sold my truck myself.

You might but isn’t there a sales tax advantage for having a trade? (Offset), plus no hassle for you selling it (always a factor).
You are getting a decent deal as it is, I don’t know when the discounts/incentives will change, so don’t lose them. Maybe try more accessories or service deals (oil changes for X times)...

The biggest advantage is that this dealer is 2.5 hrs away. I'd rather them take my truck and then drive home the Ram.

Hadn't thought of the sales tax advantage. This is a NH dealer so the only advantage would be for them. They get my trade without sales tax and I pay tax for the Ram when I get back to Maine.
