Greetings! I just stumbled across this forum while searching the internet for trailer brake controllers. Looks like a promising forum.
I am a member on numerous forums, under this same user name. (Long story.) Some since as early as 1999. Still prefer forums to Facebook.
I'm 62 years old, and have been a gearhead since I had my first Tonka truck.
I do telecommunications for the power company. Planning to retire in 3 years (and counting.)
My hobbies are playing with old stereo equipment, and customizing Pontiac Fieros. (I own two of those. One of them is engine-swapped - won best in class at World of Wheels - and the other is "in the works".)
So... why am I here?
Yesterday I traded my 2005 Silverado for a shiny new Ram 1500 Big Horn Sport crew cab 4x4.
It's pretty basic. Came with the Sport appearance package and Level 1 equipment group. Has a Hemi, 3.92 gears and anti-spin axle. Still has more toys on it than any vehicle I've ever owned.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here, and look forward to participating. I'm sure I'll be posting annoying questions for a while. But as I become familiar with all the tricks associated with my beast, I hope to become useful, as well.
(Yeah, I know.... "Use the search!")
Later... Steve
