Airing some grievances about 2019 Ram

So, I have a 19 Ram 1500 bighorn cc with the sport, and the off-road package..
When I first bought it I loved the truck, it rides better than any truck I've drove, has locking differential so it gets around in the snow/mud great.. Has outstanding sounds system for factory, more than enough room for the rear passengers and I live the styling and looks..

My issue thus far are ridiculous.. it started with the droning nose come from speakers when it'd go into economy mode, that was fixed..
My reverse and forward sensors stop working if I use the Bluetooth hands free until it sits over night or I pull the fuse.. the fix for this when I take it in is they reprogram the computer, which doesn't last but a couple weeks..

The passenger seat frame started making a popping noise when I got bumps with a passenger in it, after the second time of taking it in for this issue and showering them they diagnosed it as a broken weld on the seat frame that will need replaced, it is on backorder because all seat frame at the moment are going to New builds.. grrrrr!!!

So, on to my next issue.. with under 14k miles on the truck, when I start the truck and then put it in gear it sputters, hesitates and RPMs drop so far it almost dies.. I have not taken it to the shop for this issue yet as they're usually a month out and this had only started a couple weeks ago

I feel I better not let the warranty expire.. this is the first Ram vehicle I've ever owned and as of now I regret the decision

Hey this droning sound you speak of, does it sound like a buzzing or humming sound coming from the front of the truck? I couldn't tell if it was my engine revving too high when I let off the gas. But it got pretty damn loud and I have never heard it before.

Not really, it honestly sounded like a light saber war going on in the back seat

I live in wyoming and our lemon law states that it has to go in for repair 3 times and substantially impair the use or fair market value.. or be out of service for a cumulative of 30 business days..

Sorry to hear you are going through this along with the fact that your Lemon Law's bit tougher than others. That "almost sputters & dies" would definitely concern me (along with the other issues) because you are constantly in the unknown of when it will truly quit. If it were me, I would definitely document the information along with the RAMCARE Specialist/Alex asap. While any vehicle can suddenly stop; the comfort of a new vehicle and smooth running engine is way more stress free than experiencing sputter & almost dies on a daily basis when putting into gear however many times a day.

While I would hope to get the items fixed and move forward, you should be keeping track of the "business days" you are without your vehicle and all said documentation in case you steadily approach your lemon law requirements. If you were to try and sell that vehicle right now....I would say not knowing if it will stall/stop and sputters is (to me) substantially impairing; especially if you were to try to sell it right now!!!

I hope RAM steps up...just in case you should have your plan B, C, E(exit) in the works too.

Is your vehicle safe to drive with a broken seat frame? If it is a safety concern it should be at the dealership with an open repair order on it. This will be the easiest way to urge Ram to get the part released for your vehicle. It will also keep the days out of service rolling in case you need to go to lemon law.

it sounds like I am having this same issue with the passenger seat popping noise only when the seat has a passenger in it....anyone else have this issue? Build date is 11/22/18.

As a update I have researched in to the Wyoming state lemon laws through BBB and Dodge/RAM is not recognized.. I'll have to call BBB but as of now it looks like I can not apply for lemon law .. RAM/Dodge/FCA are the only major auto manufacturer not accredited through BBB..

That is not correct, you can apply for the lemon law, this is why most will say contact a specific lemon law attorney in your state.

If a company is "not recognized" by the BBB this basically means they have not paid to become "accredited", does not mean "the company" can skip the law or that the law does not apply to them. That would put them above the law.

I found part of the BBB website that you may have come across that list the auto manufacturers:

Have you considered just trading it in on something else? Time and energy are worth something, you know. Me personally, I wouldn't keep just banging my head on a wall with a truck I regretted buying. I'd just take the hit, try to make it as small as possible, and get a different truck. Either the same brand, just a newer build, if you like the truck otherwise, or just switch brands. A truck with relatively low miles like that won't be a ridiculous hit.

Sometimes in life you've just got to move on. Even a several thousand dollar hit is peanuts in the grand scheme of life.

J have owned 4 rams.... 97 ram, and 03 ram (first hemi), 12 ram, and now my 19 ram.. none have had a major issue, all have performed well, my 03 was traded with 202000 miles, and my 12 with 116000 miles. While sometimes it is a pain that there are problems, you might look at a different dealership to fix it, if possible... I have loved every ram I have owned, do my own maintenance on it, upkeep, I personally put all aftermarket items on. My 19 is a Laramie Black edition, 4x4, CC, and it is the best thing I have driven. (well, maybe second to my 67 Charger with a 512ci.)
