Installed a Borla S-Type cat back exhaust, an S&B Cold Air Intake and Gatorback Mud Flaps.

Retrax Powertrax Pro XR coming tomorrow.

I’d love to do both of these things to my truck, but wish I could hear the Borla S vs the Touring in person. I have little kids and don’t want to make it too loud, but don’t want to make an expensive switch that sounds almost stock either. Also contemplating the Magnaflow but I know the Borla is higher quality stainless and build quality.

How long did the S&B intake take you?

Not so much what I did as much as what someone else did to my truck. This GMC owner was kind enough to test out the durability of my new truck at 20mph.... Fotor_15560596777077.jpg Fotor_155607757427537.jpg

The Borla is really nice. I was going to go with the touring but decided to go with the S-Type figuring I could always buy the resonater to lower the volume down to the touring if its too loud. They say it needs a little time to break in so we will see. I already have received 2 compliments on it.

The S&B took about 30-40 minutes. Very easy install.

Paint and Fabric? Also can you tell me how you like the Lomax? It looks much lighter than the bed sides in your pics. Is that true or just funny lighting?
When I bought the truck in my euphoric state I went a bit crazy and added on things. I know, I know, bad Jeff! The paint treatment and interior treatment was like $1299 discounted to $999 and finally when I was not going to do it magically it dropped to $499. So hopefully some benefit or a really, really expensive detail job! I took the first available appointment and they told me not to wash it prior to bringing it in (been over a week) - so hopefully they knew what they were doing.

I like the Lomax so far. I think the color issue in those pics is more the sun, etc.. plus those are just from my cheap iPhone. Here is one that I think shows the comparison to the bed rails better. My intent originally was to have this cover paint matched to the truck, which I may still do, but the black/texture has grown on me so waiting a few weeks to see how I like it. It seems very solid, allows the tailgate up and down without opening, plus comes off very easily if I need the full bed, no tools needed. I didn't like the models that lean up against the cab so if I need the full bed I would just pull it out anyway. If you are considering the Lomax give Lucas a call at Truck Alterations, had mine delivered within 3 days @ $675, pretty tough to beat.

Does yours keep water out of the bed. I had a Mopar soft roll up installed and it's pretty pointless when it rains.
I just installed it today and it hasn’t rained yet, but as soon as it does i will let you know. I think i did pretty good with the rubber seals it comes with but you never know. We shall find out soon, its always raining in Miami

Now I just have to wait until I see a nice discount on the S&B!

^^^. There’s nothing wrong with voicing your feelings, it’s not like you’ve singled one member out about this. I can not stand the side steps on my Laramie, but as long as I’m married on they will stay lol.
Seems like the power steps would be a great option for you. There for your wife but disappear when not used.

Yes but sadly I don’t even like the looks of those when raised up. If I’m going to suffer lol I’ll suffer with ones I already own. :)
