I have a 2019 Ram 1500 with 5000 miles. Four times now after stopping at a light and taking off, the trans does not want to shift to 2nd gear. I have to hit the manual shift all the way up the gears thru 8th and then it is fine. Not a big deal and love the truck but has anyone else had this happen?

There is no manual shift. The +/- buttons on the steering wheel set the gear limit (maximum gear).

Not right. I seem to recall some reports of low fluids from the factory. Have dealer check tranny fluid level.

Hi DMXS,
We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

I have a 2019 Ram Laramie ....I am having the same problem...What do I need to do? Is it something I need to adjust. I have to stop the truck and shift from D to P and then back to Drive...

It only happened to me two times. Not sure what caused it, but will see if they can look it over at the next oil change.
