Visited the dealer to get my steering wheel replaced, a slight dent repaired (came that way new) and ended up bringing home some new side steps that I installed before the sun went down.

Here’s the steering wheel they are replacing. The material is all stretched and the stitching is bunched up and lumpy. Dealer was super cool about it and just put in the order no questions asked.

How was the dent? Mine came with a door ding in it that they said they would take care of but it’s right on the crease on the door and I’m worried a dent guy won’t handle it and it will have to be fixed by a body shop and painted.

Cost for the Raptor 100.00
Tape and Plastic 20.00
Sand paper acetone 15.00
Spray gun 13.00
3 hrs prep sand and tape off
My mistake was taping off as the product was guaranteed to arrive but was a no show
So I had to leave the truck until the weather warmed back up
Took about a hour to spray
So less than a half a day total
I like the duller look as I have used
All's liner for other projects

Nice work. And for about $150 + time. Worth it. Heck I paid just over $600 for RhinerLiner and I know the shop owner. Its up to 700 for a full bed/gate spray.

To be honest, it was not great. What I found is that underneath the door handles of many Rams, including mine, have an indent or depression that I think happens from the stamping. Mine was very noticeable (unfortunately I didn't notice it when I bought it), and the dealer did admit that it seems to be an issue and had their dent guy do his best. But ultimately his best really didn't satisfy me, but I'll live with it. It honestly looked like somebody slammed the door open with the door handle and made a big indent, and I was afraid it would hurt resale.

He was able to get out the biggest depression, and smooth it a bit, but with the door fill and glue inside, there was only so much he could do. They did offer to replace the door, but then I have to do paint matching, have a different SN on the door, etc. Just not worth it.

As long as it's an issue with all of the trucks (and as I walked around the lot I saw a half dozen with the problem) then it's not an issue with just my truck. Most of the new 2019 trucks on the lot had it to some degree (the 2019 classics do not).

I love this truck, but it has to have the thinnest steel and most easily scratchable paint of any vehicle I've owned since my 1997 Honda Civic.

I definitely agree with the thin metal. It’s really disappointing that it’s so cheap. I also noticed that when the wind catches the door when you swing it open that the metal where the door attaches below the A-pillar flexes. My truck is in the body shop from an accident and the 2019 Chevy LD they put me in is much stronger.....I just don’t like the truck.

I’m in a rock and a hard place with my dealer. They want to have the door ding guy do his best, but right on the body line crease it won’t get right. So the body shop I’m at says they can make it 100% doing body work but will have to paint and would have to do both doors to blend it to match and that scares me too.

The Line-Ex was actually done on Monday, but I took the photo today. I also had the bumper and fascia wrapped with XPEL this morning.

Within the last week.. LEDs for third brake light/cargo (super bright), and then took a 320 mile trip with the ATV's. Got to finally power wash the cemented upstate-clay-mud off today. Should've gotten mud flaps..
