I noticed this line inside the passenger side headlight a while back. Looks like it’s got to be from the factory. I’m assuming I can’t be the only one. Just curious if anybody has figured a way of accessing the glass I’d appreciate the info.

usually those kind of yellow-crayon looking marks are put in various places of a vehicle by quality control inspectors during manufacturing. hmmm....

Well the 15th of this month is my one year anniversary and I washed the truck plenty. I’m 99.5% positive it is on the inside. I am afraid to take a razor to it

Oh that would annoy me. Your dealer should warranty that. That’s a defect from the plant that assembled the headlights.

It definitely annoys me. That’s the one thing I didn’t do was complain to the dealer. When I get back from vacation I’m taking her in to have my speedometer calibrated. I’ll talk to them than

Try the non-petroleum based goof off on it. The liquid one not the spray kind. If it is on the outside it will remove it. I removed lots of factory marks like that with goof off all around on my doors on the inside on the metal. Do not under any circumstances use petroleum based anything on that plastic lens. It will destroy it.

I feel like it has to be on the outside as the unit is sealed. If it is truly on the inside, it should be warrantied as a defect.

Are you sure that's not on the outside? I had/have a bunch of those marks all over my truck. They are not easy to get off, but you can remove them.
That’s what I’m wondering also. Metal polish would do a good job getting that off, if it is on the outside.

Looks like it's on the outside to me. The inside of the lens right there is textured for reflective peuooses. Should have been removed during PDI at dealer. Find a plastic safe polishing compound or adhesive remover. Test on a small spot first.

I had those yellow marks on my rear window when I first got my truck. I got it off after a few washes.

Just asking I do NOT want to give bad advice. Would a wet magic eraser work or would it scratch it?

Yeah so I’m going away the end of the month. Coming home for the fourth. Taking her in to the dealership for speedo calibration. I’m gonna let them try to take care of it. Just in case there is damage they can be responsible. I’ll definitely post what happens. I’m almost sure it’s not on the outside but we will find out. Thanks to everyone for your opinions. I appreciate it
