Good evening all,

Time for a new (new to me at least) truck and found a few candidates. I'm eyeing a 2021 Built to Serve and a 2020 Rebel. Both have 26K miles, which obviously makes me a little leery about the BtS. I'm running around in circles trying to determine the difference between them, other than the obvious interior trim. All things considered, I'm leaning towards the Rebel as it just seems like a higher level truck? Am I off?

Thanks in advance

You are really just buying a different option package. Different wheels and tires...different grille. Different seats.

The BTS is a trim for honoring the military.

The Rebel is a custom factory truck.

Everything else is the same. Except a few options...which all may be the same depending

I have looked at the window stickers. I just wasn't sure the actual difference between BtS "extra HD shock absorbers" vs what would come on the Rebel. I admit, this won't be used off-road every day; it's my daily driver. However, it will get some use during hunting or up at the lake. The BtS is about $2k less, but with crazy miles. The Rebel obviously looks sharp with the red interior trim. Mechanically and capability, these are pretty similar then?

Both are capable trucks. The BTS will have the Off Road Group (ORG) package, however, the Rebel has a little bit more in that department with skid plates, etc. Personally, I looked at both when ordering and went with the Rebel.

Built to serve were pretty limited production wise. Other than that, for the average person both trucks are plenty capable. I'd go BTS personally for the rarity factor.

FWIW - I have a 2021 BTS and absolutely love it. The main differences I've noticed between the Rebels and BTS are the wheels and tires setups, some rebels come with ventilated seats while the BTS only has heated. I have the 12" screen, some rebels come with it, some don't. The rebels have the rebel / sport hoods, BTS doesn't. Other than that they're pretty similar. If you're concerned about the miles on either truck, I'd probably not get that one.

Thanks for all the input guys. The two trucks are optioned out pretty similar; 12" screens, heated not ventilated seats, fuel tanks size, bed liner, step bars, etc. Both trucks have 26K miles; looking at the BtS it was likely a construction work truck. Not beat to hell but it's been driven. I do plan on getting a lifetime wrap warranty so maybe the high miles on the BtS shouldn't be a concern. Trying to determine if the 2021 BtS at $2k less than the 2020 Rebel is worth it. The dealer with the BtS is pissing me off so there's that too:) Again, thanks for the input everyone, glad I found this site.

Rebel has better shocks for offroading with remote reservoirs and 18" wheels with 33" tires from factory. BTS has off-road group so same basic suspension, just non-reservoir shocks, and 20" wheels with 32" tires. Both come with the skid plate protection packsge. As mentioned, front grill and hood are different in rebel. But other than that, same basic truck. Rebel has a few more available options, but sounds like the two you are looking at are similar.
