Are the wiper controls supposed to light up at night when dark can’t read the controls

If you mean the wiper controls on the turn signal stalk, no they don't light up. Don't think I've seen a vehicle that they do actually.

You really don't need to read it, there is only 2 thing you can do with it, push or turn.
