I drove my truck up to Washington DC this week so the temp is still below freeze

I used the washer this afternoon and it works just fine but after dinner tonight it suddenly failed. I thought it was just out of fluid (I was just guessing since no light came on) but when I press the button I don't even hear the pump working. Plus the wiper wasn't turn on as well (it's not broken tho)

and I don't think the fluid in the pump will freeze up within 30 minutes after engine shut off. (its only 30F outside today)

feels like the broken button or a blown fuse causing this issue.

2300 miles on odo, any thoughts?

If you are from 'the South' and came north, perhaps someone didn't use antifreeze windshield washer fluid.

I'd pump out the fluid that is there now and install some 'north approved' antifreeze based washer fluid. If you are lucky, nothing was damaged and as soon as it gets warm enough, cycle your washers to clear out the lines of the old fluid.

I've had this happen in the past, no damage, but it was a different vehicle. Try to get some antifreeze fluid in there as soon as possible. Good luck and I hope it didn't crack the pump housing or fluid container bottle. If it starts to leak, you will know you have had freeze damage.

Welcome to winter!

Did You managed to fix it. Having the same issue, but can not find a fuse location.

Pour a bottle or two of rubbing alcohol in there and it should thaw it out after a few hours if its iced up.

we have 85 degree now, icing not an issue. Motor is not running.

Put 12volts to the pump to see if it works. The wipers not coming with the sprayer is concerning, points to the switch or other electrical gremlins

I am also looking to replace the pump due to no hearing it hum when I activate the washer fluid. I believe the relay is F08 but you can check that. I switched the relay with the one that activates the wipers and no change (indicated the relay is good...or not the fault).

I tried taking the front grille off to get to the reservoir but ran out of daylight. Wondering if we have to remove the grille to get to the reservoir.
