I have a windshield leak where the water is entering at the top right corner of the passenger A-piller. I'm 6k outside of the B2B warranty. I figured I'd try to apply some type of silicone or RTV sealant at the point of water entry. When I look at the windshield from the exterior,, it appears to have the glass on top. Then there's the black sealant directly under the glass. Below the sealant, there is a black rubber gasket. Beneath the rubber gasket there is the metal of the body of the truck.
I'm trying to figure out if I need to apply RTV sealant beneath or above this rubber gasket. A shop manual diagram should show how the windshield is attached to the truck body.
Does anyone have a shop manual that shows the removal/installation of the windshield?
Here are some pics of the windshield and gasket.
