Hey all I am curious if anyone has been able to find a resolution for the factory paint chipping issue on the windshield pillars. I have a white 2019 Ram 1500 bighorn. Went to the dealer and was basically told it was my problem. So I took it to 3 separate body shops and was given an estimate of $4500+. I’m not going to pay that, it’s ridiculous. I’ve read several others are having the same issue just surprised I couldn’t find a service bulletin for it.

Just notices this on my 2019 Bighorn. I have some drcolorchips touchup paint so i used a thin flat paint brush to brush it on. Noticed some more flakyness so I’m sure I’ll be doing more.

I’ll talk to my bodyshop guy and see what he says.

Same problem. I stopped by a vehicle wrap company, and he is gonna etch a line in good paint, lightly blend edge off, clean area as deep as possible, then install his thickest wrap film.
He might have a close match to tri coat pearl white, but if too off then doing a matte black. This is my first attempt, and if I see problem later. Then its to the bed coating company to check other options. Will post pics soon.

I smeared drcolorchips paint on it and it looks great. Lol
