Windshield just cracked

Wow that's a lot of money. The bill they gave me from the Glass company that insurance paid was $600 USD. I guess i am glad I have the glass rider policy.

Just got a huge chip on mine yesterday.
Got the online quote from SL, and for OEM glass I got quite the sticker shock.
I did the same quote for glass w/o the RAM logo, and it ended being $859, which still seems very high. I will contact dealer and other shops to see what they cost, but $1240 seems like a lot.

WOW i know prices can be different around the country but twice as much as what i was charged. Two words.......RIP OFF!!

Gotta love glass coverage in az then. No deductible and as many replacements as needed. I got oem glass with tint strip on top and a $50 check.

Mine cracked as well and it seems that the windshields are not stocked and take at least 2 weeks for a replacement

Be sure to check with your insurance as depending on who you have and your state, they often times offer a $0 deductible glass policy. Mine costs about $5.39/more per month but it would take almost 8 years at that rate before I wasted money if I didn't have a windshield replacement as my comprehensive deductible is $499. If you don't have the glass rider, than you'd pay your comprehensive deductible assuming you have comprehensive insurance.

I have. Texas does not have a $0 windshield replacement law, and my comprehensive deductible is $999, so I will prob go the non-RAM logo route for about $850, since that’s less than my deductible anyway.

I live in TX as well and have Progressive and do have a $499 comprehensive deductible and 0$ glass deductible.
