I was hearing a really annoying high pitched noise coming from the driver's side door area when I got over 40 MPH on a my 2026 Rebel. I did a lot of searching on this forum, Reddit, and YouTube for fixes only to be left without anything useful. None of them helped at all.

It was clearly coming from the door but not from the air ducts or the side view mirror as most had identified. I used a whole role of painter's tape blocking every seam on the door and window to no avail. I got some new seal to reinforce the door which also didn't work.

Finally came to isolate the sound! I was able to instantly stop it with my hand. Just had to figure out how to fix it.

There is what appears to be a seal placed around the window on the inside. If I applied pressure to it (sealing it in effect) in one specific place, the wind noise immediately stopped. The problem is the seal doesn't get close enough to the window glass itself, so it lets air through. When I was putting pressure on it, I was pushing the seal into the glass, which sealed it.

The fix that has worked for a few weeks now was to take about a foot of this rubber door seal strip and put it on the inside driver's side of the door, so the glass would fully seal from wind. You can see from the photos where I put it. I used two 6- to 9-inch pieces to cover the area where the wind was coming in. Completely stopped the noise.

I have a few other minor fixes for the dealer that I will bring up in addition to this one when I bring it in for the first oil change. Wonder if they have a better solution. I didn't see anything on this anywhere with a lot of searching so not sure it's a known or common issue.

I'll be trying this!! I also experience the wind noise and it sounds like my window is slightly open when I'm at a stop and hearing the other cars go by. I bet this is also my issue! Thank you!

NOTE: I updated this post just now after further research/fixes since the original post. I think I got it solved now for real!

I don’t hear a noise but I do get wind coming in from the window. Mine is coming in from the middle of the window along the door panel. No idea how to fix it

I wonder if a set of the Rain/Wind Deflectors that is held in place by sliding into the windows tracts would put enough pressure on the windows and seals to work for what you're looking for(??).

I am biased now, but I think looking along the track where the glass seals with the interior of the door is an easy fix. I just put two short pieces of cheap rubber door seal where I heard the noise and fixed it.
