Why isn't my ECO Light in my 2020 RAM (5.7 Liter) coming on EVER?? Even at 55 mph.

I have had a LOT of electronics problems with my new RAM including but not limited to the doors unlocking sometime in the middle of the night for no reason. Also my ECO light NEVER comes on and now the Service Manager at my dealership is telling me it does not have an ECO light. I KNOW that is not true. (See page 127 in the "RAM 1500 2020 Owner's Manual.)

It’s an option you have to turn on through the radio, I had to do it with mine. The eco light may not come on but MDS should still be activating.

You have to turn it on in settings on the Uconnect. Factory setting is off. My MDS is so smooth that unless I'm watching instant mpg or the ECO light goes on, I don't know it's active.

Has to be activated in the display settings in Uconnect. Dealer should know how this works.
do yourself a favor and find a knowlegable dealer!

Eco light should only come on when your system only needs to keep the speed. Definitely should see it on a downhill. Mine on my 2020 is on the top left. Left and up from the display screen.

Mine barely comes on unless I'm coasting or maintaining a slower speed. Maintaining a constant highway speed and it's never on.

As far as the doors unlocking in the middle of the night, are you sleeping with the fob in your pocket?

For some reason on my laramie, sum features i like were turned off, so I turn them on.

Must be enabled in your Uconnect display settings. The ECO light is directly tied to MDS operation and nothing else. If MDS is active, the ECO light illuminates. If it does not, MDS is not active (assuming you have the light enabled). MDS obviously functions fine without the ECO light enabled, you just won't know unless you hear/feel it.

The spot in the radio is only for the indicator on the dash
MDS is on. You should be able to feel it kick on and off if you pay enough attention to small details

Maybe because I've got 45,000 miles on mine, but I can't remember the last time I could say I felt it. My previous two Ram 1500s had the 3.92 differential and I think I could feel it more often. But not on this DT.

Maybe those bushings that dampen the feeling break in over time. Mine only has 1k miles and i feel it. It’s not super noticeable, but I have great attention to detail, so I notice if.

Ah. Now that you mention you only have 1000 miles on the vehicle, I recall that in the first few thousand miles I did occasionally feel the MDS kick in or out on all three of my Rams. I think you'll find that as the mileage increases you will feel it less. Also, the transmission is probably still learning you're driving style, which may exacerbate the feeling.

Ah. Now that you mention you only have 1000 miles on the vehicle, I recall that in the first few thousand miles I did occasionally feel the MDS kick in or out on all three of my Rams. I think you'll find that as the mileage increases you will feel it less. Also, the transmission is probably still learning you're driving style, which may exacerbate the feeling.

It doesn’t overly bother me, but that is nice to know
