Hi all,
Just looking help identifying possible culprits. 5.7 with eTorque. While accelerating moderately (2000-3000 rpm) during most upshifts when the engine rpm drops to match the next gear there is a pretty quiet, high pitched whistle sound, maybe half a second long. Timing like a turbo blow off valve i think (never had a turbo car) I can't quite tell where it's coming from. I used the gear selector and it doesn't make the sound holding a gear at that rpm range. And gentler acceleration doesn't make that second either. I've had the cracked header bolts repair and exhaust flange broken bolt repair in the past and it doesn't sound like any of those times. Also had motor generator bearing issue and it didn't sound like that either.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Vince
