with light switch on A position, I'm trying to get the headlights to turn on when the sun isn't shining (not just when it's dark).
Here it is almost always very cloudy and the lights on would make me feel more visible to others (especially the rear ones).
To make them turn on earlier than planned, I thought of partially covering the automatic ignition sensor.
Can anyone tell me where it is?
Thank you.

The dome on top of the dash.

The dome on top of the dash.

I already tried covering that dome completely with a black rag, but the lights didn't come on (not even after a minute) so I thought it was a sensor for something else.
I'll try to mask it again thanks for your help

Maybe your truck is different.
I just threw a jacket over my sensor and the lights turned on.
