Is that painted?

Also, the way the OEM fender flares attach, there are quite a few rectangular & circular holes punched into the sheet metal to hold the clips on the fenders. I'm assuming you aren't going to want to do that to you fender?

If that's the case, I would go with an aftermarket alternative.

I have the same Rc but did not have them painted I thought they made it look like a Toyota...painted they might work out interesting. Also i had no idea that they punched holes in the fender. I will have to look at the wife's? yea yea she got the fancy one i got the Big Horn. Thanks again

Yeah they do have special fenders for the Laramie and Limited but i got after market "OE style" ones that don't need the holes...

Very easy to install too... no drill no grill...
They're hollowed so that's why they are cheap, but you can never tell when they are installed. They're more flat than OEM but they look good too.

Not yet... went stock. The front was taller than the rear with 2.5"... I'm thinking of trying 2".
2.5" looked funny, especially if I had something in the bed...

Amazon has a ton of flare choices, I haven't shopped for them but an annoying number of them show up in my searches for some reason.

You painted yours, but they come matte black? The pics on eBay don’t really look matte. What’s your opinion? Were they matte? Do they match the rest of the black trim reasonably well or do you recommend painting them?

They came matte black like the Rebel flares... They look pretty good(IDK about matching other black trim pieces, didn't check before i painted them) but i wanted the same color as the truck, tried to get a "Laramie" look, not rebel.
Painting them will make them more durable imo because it's a cheap plastic.
You want them as Rebel flares or Laramie? I think either way will look nice.

I have a BigHorn so I don’t have any flares. I was considering buying OEM and modifying them to fit since I don’t have holes in my fenders. This is obviously a much cheaper alternative. I would prefer to leave them black rather then paint them if they look good.

I think they will look nice even without paint on them. I just didn't want black so I painted them.
