Curious to see everyone’s 22” wheel/tire combos. Mine are factory Goodyear touring, rides nice for now but looking to possibly go with LT tires.

A lot of members here run the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2. It seems to be a very popular tire for our trucks. This is the tire I’ll be going with when my current ones need replacement, which is very soon.

Are you staying the same size or going bigger? As soon as you go over 285/45r22, all brands are LT load E.

I went bigger due to 3.92 gearing and am happy with the look and ride.

That looks really good, nice job. Haven’t really decided on size yet, part of the reason why I posted this. Can you post your tire specs.

I don't need LT tire. I tow every weekend on slimy low tide ramps. They do great light off road. Better wet traction than old Nitto Ridge Graps.

285/55R22 Amp Pro All terrain. Winter and wet traction are great. Good manners on highway with a smooth ride. A little noise, but I believe it’s more to do with the LT rating over the tread.

I just replaced my factory Pirellis at 21K miles, perfect, even wear.. just soft tires. They were at 4/32 and Mopar is offering a buy 3, get 1 for a dollar sale.
My dealer got me the Michelin LTX MS/2 for this deal.
Price per tire was $19 cheaper than Belle or Discount up here in Metro Detroit. $317 per tire compared to $336 at Belle/Discount.
I opted out of the alignment, my truck drives true, no feathering on the edges, rotated at 8K and 16K miles.
Call me cheap, but paying $130 for a 2 wheel alignment to adjust a few tenths of a degree of toe isn’t worth it..and again, my tires wore perfectly flat.

Install price was similar to Belle or Discount.
The only downside, the dealer doesn’t do free balancing, my dealer does offer lifetime rotations.

All in, I saved just under $400 on a set of Michelin from the dealer….

I’ve religiously kept mine at 36PSI cold. Adjusting it for winter and summer temps.

Looking forward to many miles on these…

That is a good price, best I could find so far is the $336 you mentioned.

If I didn’t pay the bill, and have them on my truck, I wouldn’t have believed it myself.
Cheaper than retail tire centers and one for free ($1).

In the end, DEPENDING on if they need balancing in the future…and how many times, it may even out.
But for now, I’m way ahead…

I am also looking to replace the factory pirellis during this buy 3 deal. I am looking to get the most sidewall I can without changing the wheels or doing a lift yet. Anyone have suggestions? I was targeting Toyo open county at3, but I'm open to suggestions.

Any issues with this width?

No problem with 12" width on the 305/45R22. I didn't like the price, but damn I never liked a tire so much.

Personal experience with this 305 width:
- replaced Ridge Graps at 42,000
- Toyo OC AT3 running for 8,000 miles

All forums support running this 305/45 width, although Toyo recommends wider rim for the 305/45R22.

Toyo AT3'S 285/50/22. I do have the 3" BDS kit.20240623_110635.jpg

The toyos are expensive. Hard to believe they would be worth the extra $500 per set
