Folks,

I bought a GREAT phone holder. It mounts in the center dashboard tray, under the rubber mat. Here's a pic:

My son wants one for his truck.

I know that I went to Course Motorsports, but I don't see this on their website.

Anyone know what mount this is??? (Hey, I only found it because someone here recommended it!)

Thanks,
Ken

I’d like to know also. That looks nice.

Edit: I did find this mount company, which users on here have mentioned in the past.

Hmmm. I never seen that style for 2019 up. Only classic. Do you happen to have a classic?

Nvm I see your avatar pic.

Mine from them mounts behind the radio.

I sent an email to Course Motorsports (because my sig has them as my phone holder ;) ).

They replied that they no longer sell that kind...but they did. Apparently there were some complaints. Shrug. Mine's been perfect. So, I know now that I have a discontinued Course Motorsport phone holder.

The one they currently sell goes inside the center radio console. Remove two screws, give a good tug, then snap it all back together. It places the phone above the start button. I'll be doing that for my son's truck.

Thanks.

This is what I have. Jut got it. Couple minutes to install in the top dash storage area using the existing 2 screws. I used a phone holder I already had instead of the one that came with the kit. You can use any phone holder that has the standard ball joint socket (17mm./67"). This is from Motrobe ($30 on Amazon). They have two different models, one for the 8.4: screen and the other for the 12" screen.

Here is the link (Note: this is for the 8.4" screen, they have a different model for the 12" screen):

That’s awesome, I need to search for that.

Is this the one that you were talking about?

Bulletpoint makes a nice AMPS compatible base mount.

A bit pricey, but well regarded.

I already had a bunch of RAM mount stuff so I only bought the base and only to add more than one ball mount I already had with the RAM mount I cut up.

I considered just 3D printing one (black PETG), but by the time I bought a similar 3 position AMPS plate, it wasn't much more and being metal, guaranteed to not warp in the heat.

Whatever solution you chose, make sure it rests inside the screw holes or has spacers to fill that gap or it can pull the nutclips from the plastic inside the dash.

Had a couple "no fob" situations after installing the wireless charger when I put the fob in the tray on top of the radio. I am wondering if peoples no fob situations with the led 3rd brake light could be related.
