I saw someone somewhere mention putting some anti corrosion on the bolts after using the die. Any recommendations?

I used a die as well. I was able to clean the thread easily and could turn most by hand. The paint chipped right off. Took just a few minutes

I am going to try to install my steps today and curious what is the best method to remove the overspray on the studs. thanks
I used a propane torch and welders wire brush. I did run the nut onto each stud to clean out the threads before mounting the boards. Worked great.

I didn't use anything, just let it be a type of thread locker haha ;)
