What is the best lift kit ( less than 6") available right now?

IDK...I have the Mopar lift and his front is quite a bit higher than mine. Definitely more than a 1/2".

Can you play a picture of your truck? It sounds like exactly how I want mine setup.

Rough County is possibly the worst company out there short of unbranded crap on Ebay. Many have sd it, I'll say it again. You invested at least 40k in your truck- a lift kit is critical to the daily and long term life of your Ram. Do your homework.. I wont tell you what to buy as opinions vary dramatically. Call any 4x4 shop worth its salt and see what they say about RC....Spend some $$ and do it right..

I've had a 6" RC lift on my '19 Laramie since day one. I'm at 45k now and never had an issue.

I have the bilstein adjustable front shocks for level and fox shocks in the back. 295/60/20 with a -1 offset wheel package. Perfect stance for me. Ride is as good or better than factory.

Carli Performance Package on 35x12.5R18 that we did on a customer's truck last December.
basically copy of my build aside from the shocks. i went fox 2.5 instead because Carli Kings were on long backorder when I ordered in 2022.


At 2-2.5" is the best because you have the most travel out of the suspensions. At 3" you are reducing suspension travel because all the 2-3" kits are the same length. At 4" plus you're just adding more work (cutting the frame to add diff drop kit) for no performance gain.
IF you (or anyone) are looking for the BEST kit, this is as best as it gets. Other option is Thuren Kings with their custom tune to match your driving style and constant load, but that requires some calculation on your end and communication with Don the suspension God.

I'll second boogielander's comment. Avoid any of the big brand "box kits". RC, Stupidlift, Readylift, Rancho, BDS, Skyjacker and yes, FabTech. They're all bolt on garbage, especially if you go over 4"......the brackets simply drop your front suspension a few inches and stuff an obnoxiously long knuckle in to make up the difference. It's like a body lift for your suspension, all it gives you is more tire clearance but zero additional usable wheel travel.

If you intend to build a mall crawler with big roller skate looking wheels and a sick neon underbody kit, the "box kits" are probably fine. Just know that the rest of us will point and laugh.

If you intend to mob the truck at all, go with Thuren or Carli. I've done 2500's with both. My '96 12v would pass anything going uphill pulling my 12k toy hauler, then run sand highway in Glamis at 55-60 mph and not spill my beer. Air the bags up and drag the trailer home. Thuren did the shocks and front springs, Carli did the long travel air bags and rear springs. Worked great off road and the on road ride was fantastic for a 3/4t truck on 37's.

Super old revived thread but I think 35s and a 3.5” lift is perfect for these trucks. I’ve had RC 3.5” struts and control arms up front and a 2” spacer in the rear for probably 3 years. No problems at all. I would be open to a ready lift on the next one but I have zero complaints w RC. It’s a lot better product now than back in the day

can never go wrong with Thuren or Carli. Even the most beginner kit from Carli's offering is still levels beyond those micky mouse spacers.
For the ultimate performance that's specially tailored, Thuren is levels beyond Carli. I would've went with Thuren if Kings were not 6+ month backordered with no solid ETA in 2022 when I put the parts list together. That was my own fault though, because I was planning to finish the truck build in 2 months after taking delivery and Alaska road trip in 2023, so that didn't leave me much choice even when I was ordering parts right after I ordered the truck.
