Almost at 1000 miles on my trip, this is my normal commute back and forth to work, part highway part city.
I just hit 18mpg average! What?
(I'm more than a little excited since my last vehicle got about 10mpg, 14 with a tailwind, and had zero cargo room or space for passengers)
Did I mention 18mpg?
89 octane Mobile fuel.

You didn’t mention what power train your running?
Bravo on the 18 mpg. I have a 5.7 with 10K on the odometer. I average about 15 mpg in town and 18 on hwy when not pulling a load and if I drive with a light foot. Pulling 5-6K lbs I averaged about 10 mpg, but it pulls like a freight train with that Hemi.

I rarely pull a trailer, and in fact I have never had one hooked up to this truck or loaded the bed. But yes, I am very happy with this as a daily driver.

If that's after only 1000 miles, then just wait. It will improve as the engine breaks in. There's a lot of friction in a new engine.
Lots of city traffic gets me maybe 14. Typically I see 19 mixed. Long trips always yield 21 and change, sometimes into the 22 mpg range. Same drivetrain as yours.

Sometimes I get annoyed that my wife's V6 Camry can give us 31 on a trip, but I have to remind myself that this V8 truck gives me much better fuel economy than the Cherokee it replaced

Man I don't know how you guys are getting this good mileage. I am averaging 13.7 with the 5.7 Hemi and Borla S-Type exhaust. I don't drive like an old lady but not WOT either. Granted most of my miles are city driving but still seems kind of low to me.

And to be clear I didn't buy the truck for gas mileage and am very happy with it.

Truck has 19k on it, but the 1000mile trip is since I owned it.
This replaced a 2000 Cherokee (weird coincidence, right?) and I am super stoked about not filling up twice a week. I hate getting gas.

First 500 miles on mine and I'm averaging 16.5 - mixture of short highway, bumper to bumper traffic for 30 mins (2x a day) and suburban roads in hilly western PA. All things considered, it's impressive as it's about the same mileage I was getting in my 2015 V6 Cherokee (seems to be a theme here!)

I average about 11 to 12 mpg on my little stents around town. I have 59000 on mine and about to take a road trip to Texas. I'll report back after my trip to see what I get. In case you are wondering I just purchased this 2019 last month. This will be the first highway road trip for me.

I've been averaging around 19-20mpg since I bought it in May. I'm at 9k miles now and still doing the same even with a small level and an exhaust.

My setup matches yours and my tanks are consistently between 19.7 and 20.1 mpg with 60% highway driving. I take off from stops like a granny, but cruise around 75mph.

I'm averaging 18.5 mixed driving with 8500 miles. About what was expected.

I know I don’t have the hemi, but I am impressed with the mileage I get with the ecodiesel.

I drove to northern Ontario last week, drove bush roads all week then drove home and the truck is reporting this. I’ve actually gotten better mileage on the same trip before.

almost 1500 miles on the clock. around town where i drive i usually see 13 mpg average is usually 13.3 range. just took a 68 mile roundtrip cruise on the highway the other day and averaged 18mpg!!! i was so stoked! 5.7 non etorque with 3.92 gears. i can't wait for an actual roadtrip to see what mpg i can get. i wasn't babying it on the highway either, averaging probably 75mph. highways around here are 55 or 65 mph. a few stretches of 70 mph.

4500 miles on 2021 Limited, 5.7 eTorque, 3.92 rear axle. I am averaging 18.5 around town and on the one long trip on the Florida Turnpike (400 miles round trip) I got 19.6.

I'm right around 16.5 mpg with mostly city driving & a midweight right foot, lol. Truck has just under 7500 miles right now.

I get 13 mpg with all my driving being short local city driving. I took a 2 hour trip to the north Georgia mountains and easily get over 16 mpg. And that was loaded down and 80+ mph on the interstate. If i drove a mix of city and highway i could probably get 18 or so.

2021 5.7 etorque, 3.92 gears, 4x4 Limited with Rebel wheels and 275/70r18. Average of 14-15mpg. Best on highway was 17.5 at 70-75mph. about 7k miles on it.
