I have a 2019 1500 with 59k miles and my Mopar extended warranty expired last month. With current truck prices I wanted to hang on to mine for a couple more years. My previous warranty paid for itself and them some with suspension work. I emailed Granger and they said they will not warranty anything past 2020. I'm assuming this will be the same for any of the big names who sell the Mopar warranties.

Has anyone had luck buying a warranty on an older truck or using a reliable 3rd party? Do I just go on hopes and prayers from here out?

I'm in the same boat. The third party guys get paid every month for as long as you want the warranty.
I think I'm going to contact Chrysler directly or see if Zeigler has anything better.

you could try ally. you may only be able to get it when you purchase the vehicle i financed my last 2 trucks through them and i got the warrantee they offered when i got the trucks 60k and 5 years from the mileage and date at the time of purchase.
i got a 2019 5 months ago it's covered till 2030 and up to 125k mi

I called Zeigler and they offer warranties on older vehicles. I screwed myself a bit by letting the coverage lapse. They said I would need a Ram dealer to perform a warranty inspection before they will issue a policy.

2 yr 24k $200 deductible is $1665
3 yr 36k $200 deductible is $2071

Search Mopar warranty direct , I did this for a mopar max care warranty they have three levels you just have to bring it in for a inspection from the dealer they send you the form , or you can use the dealer's form, I have a 2019 big horn 4x4 Etorque , Hemi so I wanted some coverage the top of the warranty level is not cheap but the place I bought the truck from wanted 6,800 for a warranty , so cost cut it in half.

If you wait, you will get a call from someone "trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty".

Take the money you are spending on a warranty and put it into a high yield savings account. Then put $100 a month, or whatever you can afford into the account for the times when you may need work done. You will probably end up money ahead
