Just got mine in, I ordered it a few days after this post, so will take a bit for it to come in, but very simple to connect, just plug it in and go to your Bluetooth settings, pair it and you're done. Working as advertised. I'll give it a month or two and revisit here with an update.

I have had the Carlinkit 2 in my RAM for almost a year and it works very well. Occasionally it will not connect but a quick unplug and plug back in restarts and works fine in a few seconds. I feel it works as well as my wife’s X7 which has factory wireless CarPlay. Guessing the newer 3.0 version is as good or better.

I do check for firmware updates on it every couple months too which can help avoid issues when Apple pushes IOS updates.
