What’s the biggest tire size that can fit?

This is the truck I have. 22” wheels and I want to keep them. I really would like to slap on some 34s but I don’t think they will fit. Does anyone know what is the biggest tire I can install for this truck with the same wheel?

Use tiresize.com they have comparison tool will show you side by side measurements.

I put on 285/45r22 Toyo AT2's. They still look small, wish I wouldn't have listened to the shop. They rub just a very small small amount at full lock in reverse some times.

I'm confident a 295/50r22 would have fit easily. 305/50 would fit. I don't have the ORP, my truck sits fairly low. Which I dislike, in comparison to my 2016 sport.

285/45/R22 is the stock 22" tire size.

Why are you experiencing rubbing with a stock tire size?

With just a level kit you can fit 285/55R22 20201117_091804.jpg 20201117_091903 (2).jpg

I have the same stock set up currently. 33's will fit but a level or lift will be needed to run 34+. At least if you want to guarantee it fits without issues. I've seen/heard of people stuffing 35's in there with stock suspension but to each their own.

Checkout https://www.customwheeloffset.com/ and look thru their gallery. Punch in the specs you're looking for. Should be able to find the necessary info there.

I'm thinking it's full lock, in reverse maybe a small bump making the somewhat aggressive sidewall tap that little mudguard

I’m thinking of going with the stick size. Is 285 bigger or smaller than a 33?

This is what I have guys. I want a higher stance. Sitting at 33”, I would be ok with that. Currently it’s at 31”. I just don’t know if I’m going to be able to fit 33/12.50/22 on this truck without rubbing or hitting anything. I plan to level it but I want to level it in January and I need new tires. Is because I need to pass inspection and the tires are bad on the other side. Also, there is a 3” difference form the rear to the front. Will I need a 3” leveling kit? Which I believe anything over 2.5” on a leveling kit is bad so I hear. Defiantly will still replace with new control arms that swivel.

I would remeasure on perfectly flat ground, and if you do have 3" difference, to be safe and make sure you're not front end high, go with the 2.5" level with new UCA'S.

Go with a 285/55r22, which is 33"x11" which is what a few shops I asked recommended, so there's no rub. My truck measures just over 2.5" difference front and back. I ordered a ready lift 2" level with new UCA'S. Would rather play it safe then be perfectly level(so I don't squat to bad with a load or trailer) or risk being nose high.

Thanks for the help. When changing from 285/45R22 to 285/55R22 ridge grapplers, the load range changed. The 45 is XL and the 55 is E1. Do you happen to know the difference?

I believe xl is a 4 ply load range. Which is what I have. And E1 is a 10 ply, which may cause a stiffer ride. Because they can take more load.

Darn. I was hoping for a 4 ply but the bigger size tire does not come in that.

I’m sorry if I keep bugging you on this. I know you are not giving me 100% accurate info since impossible to know but I do trust your input. This is a 305/45R22. Do you think that will get me closer to that 33” with clearance? Stock is 285/45R22.

Factory 285/45r22 are 11" wide 32" tall.
305/45r22 should just be wider, but relatively the same height depending on inflated size. But tiresize.com has a comparison tool, and says the 305/45 should be almost 33" tall and 12" wide.
