Welp my brand new Ram has 1300 miles on it and the check engine light is on again! WTH Ram! After all the stuff Ive read I am growing concerned!

Guys what's wrong with the new Rams!? It's a 2025 I bought it 8 days ago!
8 days and already have 1300 miles. Wow. Anyways, there is a known issue with check engine lights on the hurricanes, and it's supposedly just a software issue, but not sure if they have an update for it yet. Either way without knowing what the code is, this really is a waste of bandwidth

Biggest thing is there's a lot of new stuff in this model that previous models didn't have. The first year after a redesign is plagued with "growing pains". Had that in my '07 Tundra on its 2nd Gen release. That thing was a nightmare. Bugs everywhere.

Another issue that will take some time is the dealers don't know how to service them. That's the one that irritates me the most. I don't know how mechanics and technicians are trained, but it's a complete flop. I had issues with Uconnect, and I could find no link in the support chain that had a clue how it worked. As I've read in some other threads, owners are having difficulties finding out what options are on their trucks. Window sticker says it's there, but it's not. Dealers delete things all the time, but they do a poor job of expressing that to the owner. Frustrating.

When you get the first release in a redesign, a little more patience is needed (required).

I'm going to start a new trend. Pics, or it didn't happen!
I'm sure a couple of these posts are legit but for the most part, I believe these are forum bots, tasked with making a mountain out of a molehill to sway buyers.
Prove me wrong and post a pic of the odometer, truck, error code or combo of them.

Im taking it to the dealership today... After reading what I've read about these 2025's I got a code reader an it reads as follows [ A "P2AF6" trouble code on a 2025 Ram 1500 indicates a problem with the "Starter Relay 3" being stuck in the "off" position, meaning the starter motor isn't receiving the necessary signal to engage and start the engine properly]. Somebody help me! Should I request my money back and go with something different?.. or let it play out and file the lemon act? Thanks to all for the help!

Wellznots way to early to even consider lemon law. It's one issues that you said hasn't effected being able to drive it. Let the dealer do the work to fix it. Talking about getting rid of a vehicle because of one insignificant issue is kind of extreme. Do you trade in phones every time they have a little glitch? If your internet cuts out for a few seconds do you switch providers?

You probably have good reason to be concerned.

I purchased my current Ram based on my experience with 3 previous Rams. However, it's been one electronic glitch after another since it was new. I've already had it in for more warranty repairs that I did with all my previous Ram's combined. If I had read this forum before purchasing my truck, I would be driving a GMC Denali instead.

Is that off a window sticker, or just off the website?
It's the window sticker. I get it though. Dealer mainly adds things. Trim packages that might replace something happen at the factory. Did a little reading.

Appreciate the conversation.

Dealer will do accessories, like side steps, tonneau covers, floor mats, bed liners. They don't usually do anything more in depth unless customer requests it. Like adding trailer brake controller, or swapping mirrors.

After reading all I've read it's never too early..... and 100 dollar internet is a whole lot different than a 60 thousand dollar truck. Know what I mean?

Ok update... starter Relay and there is something up with the communications between itself and some components. They give me a loaner. Fingers crossed they get the issues fixed. LMK if anyone is having the same issues and how they have been resolved. Thanks yall!

Imagine all this huffing and puffing over a bad auxiliary battery. Then people who think dealers just delete options....the internet is a great place, full of misinformation and keyboard warriors.

While you're feeling all proud of yourself, I've seen this. It was an actuator for an electric tailgate. A negative amount on the window sticker stating dealer deleted. Why I don't know.

But go ahead. Pat yourself on the back.

Wow, internet is full of arrogant know it alls too. Nice to be in the presence of such genius.

Really was trying to avoid exactly what you're doing. Totally not necessary for an Internet argument. Just want to insult someone. Talk about a keyboard warrior.

The dealer doesn't delete options. It would have been deleted, or rather not installed, at the factory due to parts shortages
