Anyone notice after visiting a car wash your truck will smell funky, like the soap or wax they use? I find that it will smell the strongest immediately afterwards but then have an almost BO smell for about a week then go away. Im pretty good about keeping the interior spotless and conditioning the leather but this smell is driving me nuts. For the record, there is no wet carpet front or rear, no window leaks, and no heater core leak.

When was the last time you had your cabin filter changed? Maybe it gets a little wet and there is some funky stuff in it. I change mine every year. Just a quick thought. I use a KAX carbon filter and it seems to knock out odors. I tried a Fram fresh or whatever it was and that stunk.

To be honest, I checked and changed my cabin filter when I bought the truck a year ago and haven't even considered that to be a contributing factor. I'll swap it out and see what happens, thanks!

These trucks are very picky with the kind of cabin filter they like, otherwise they stink, ALOT. The activated charcoal ones help. Also clean out the air box when you change the filter.

If you can remember, when you go thru the car wash make sure the defroster is not selected and the fan running. If it is, then the cowl vent is open and you can get a rush of water from the car wash.
