I’m getting this weird clunk upon turning all the way to left or right.
I also hear/feel it when I brake, seems like when the truck dips down from braking. It also happens when I acclerate… seems like when the nose comes up when I give it gas.

I have been searching a lot but I havent seen specifically where it happens exactly like mine.
I do have a 2019 1500. It is lifted. My fjrst stop is the shop that did the lift, judt have then check over everything… then maybe a trip to the dealership, alrhough they probably wont touch it since it’s lifted.

Anyone have any ideas?

Possibly the control arm bushings. I have a 2019 with factory air suspension that's lifted with a BDS 4" kit. In the beginning I didn't hear any noises, after awhile I would hear clunking while reversing or entering my step driveway. I replaced the bushings and it stopped but sound came back. I used polyurethane bushings which I've been told make noise since they don't flex as much as the factory rubber bushings.
Let me know what you find out

Thanks. I will. I’m talking it into the suspension shop that did my lift on Wednesday.
I did order moog swaybar end links and energy sway bar bushings, since those are pretty easy to swap out.

I’ll follow up when I hear more.

What did the shop say?

Finally got an update.
They heard it but couldnt consistently recreate it.
They did say there is some play in the lower balljoint and some rotational noise from the axle.

They also said the boot of my tie rod end is torn, which is weird. I just had my lift installed and that included shorter tie rods.

Probably going to have to tell the dealer to leave that alone and have the suspension shop do a new tie rod end. I don’t think the dealership would find an aftermarket one for a lifted application.

let me know how it goes and if the sound goes away.

Check your front sway bar ends and bushings. Ive been chasing a VERY similar sound and found the brackets holding my front sway bar on were just a little loose…and I mean a little. 2 of the 4 bolts had about 1 full turn left in them. Since i tightened them the sound has stopped completely. I got replacement bushings that I’ll probably be putting in soon.

Thanks. I plan to. Already got the energy bushings and moog end links ready to go on.

Rough Country submitted warranty and sent me a new tie rod. Dealership is trying to get the LCA and axle done through extended warranty.

Update:
Installed mevotech ttx upper and lower control arms, trakmotive axles, moog end links and energy bushings all on both sides.
I did a quick test drive and things seemed 90% better. Getting in next week for alignment and will go from there.

Update 2: Clunk is still there. Dealership was adament that it wasn’t body mounts. I even printed out the tsb for them. They told me the lca and axle was bad and wanted almost 3k to do that job. I did it at home, thankfully! I would have been p!ssed if I spent that much money for nothing. Lca balljoint boot was torn and axle didnt seem bad btw.

But now I’m back to square one. Guess I’ll take it to an indy shop and see what they say.
I’m done with dealerships.

Just throwing around ideas, does anyone know if the orientation in which the lca cam bolts go in, can cause this?

Front goes in the front, rear goes in the rear. Looks like from factory they both go in the front.
