Hi all, long time Ford ecoboost and RV owner. After experiencing some near overheat issues this past summer and achieving high mileage on the truck, I decided to sell and find another option. New years eve I fell into a screaming deal on a 22 limited, one owner, 46k miles, with 3.92 gears, brake controller and 33 gallon tank. I wasn't looking for a truck this fancy but the deal was too good to pass up.
Anyway, it has 4 corner air suspension which I've never had before on my Fords. I use a husky centerline TS Wdh and it's served me well for the past 6 years, no sway, rock solid. My understanding is that the ram air suspension will maintain level, even with key off? So when I drop my trailer on the hitch and take measurements for setup, they won't be correct if the truck starts lifting to level.
What is the best way to go about setting up a Wdh? Put truck in tire change mode? I'm aware of payload limits and will be fine in that dept (no pano roof or long bed, so payload is right about 1500lbs. 800lb tongue weight measured myself and just two of us in the truck).
Also, should I consider changing to 20" Laramie tires, or are the 22s OK for towing? They're brand new so it'd be a shame to ditch them. I always had P rated 20s on my F150s and never had issues towing with them with proper set up hitch with sway control.
