I have a 2019 3.6L bighorn 4x4. I’ve been noticing the carpet behind the driver seat, extending past the rear driver side storage box is very wet. The hump under the rear bench set is dry, and this isn’t happening right after heavy rains. The area near the 3rd brake light is never wet either. Wondering if it could have to do with AC system condensation leaking. Has anyone had this specific issue?

People have seen leaks in many areas in 5th gens. Rear cab vents, sunroof drains, rear window, CHMSL, and sheet metal seams. I’ve also seen at least one thread where someone had HVAC condensate backing up into the cab. You might take some time to search the forum for the many threads on cab leaks.

@mikeru82 thought I’d update you and whoever else might find this thread helpful in the future. Dealer confirmed the 3rd break lamp is the cause. Since they just replaced the light a few weeks ago (white lights weren’t illuminating in reverse & break lights weren’t working) they’re saying they can’t do it again and the recommendation is new back glass for $700… I called Ram support and they said the best they can do is ask dealer to offer assistance - service mgr said it would most likely bring it to $500. I don’t think that’s right considering the light was just replaced and the leak starting happening after that from the same area. I asked Ram to escalate my case and they said a case mgr will call me about it. I’ll update here once they can back to me.

Thanks for the update. I hope they make it right.

@RamCares is there assistance you can provide here? I was told a case manager would call me re: case 92160269 and after not receiving that call and calling myself, was told the case is closed and it’s up to Mall of Georgia Chrysler to offer repair assistance, which will still cost me $800. That dealer just replaced the 3rd break light 2 weeks ago and now the trucks filling with water when it rains. I know this is due to manufacturing defect and possibly workmanship from the light replacement, and I don’t think it’s right I should pay. I’m not sure how else I can escalate at this point.

Pretty sure you need to send RamCares a message (PM/DM) for them to respond to you.

Just did, thanks. At this point support is saying it’s all on the dealer, but the dealer submitted a request to cover it with the ‘warranty team’ and that team declined it. It’s crazy. I just had the lamp replaced a few weeks ago and then the water started, but they’re saying the lamp and the glass are separate so it’s on me.

Get two tubes of Permatex and seal the rear window your self, many of us here have done that.
