Washed and spray wax/ceramic

Used an $18 foam cannon from Amazon and the chemical guys wash and meguiars wax, the beading is pretty darn good I'd say. Didnt do the greatest job cause I was getting carried away by bugs but it came out good.

And what’s the point of the beading? Even if it’s protected against the sun, the beads will still dry up and leave waters spots.

That beading doesn't look that great, but you're also showing a pretty flat surface, so it's less likely to form small beads. I ditched the foam cannon ******** almost 2 years ago. Optimum No Rinse & all their other products (Optimum Polymer Technologies) is far superior to the old way of washing cars... the product engineer & owner of the company is a doctor in organic chemistry, and helped engineer automotive clearcoat. His products are incredible - they just work, the product lineup works together, and are easy to use. No need for screwing with a hose and pressure washer, so you can do it right in your garage all season long, regardless of time of day or weather. Their spray car wax is excellent and requires no buffing - use it as a drying aid. My truck beads better than your photo using their stuff.

Beads will leave a more concentrated residue which looks less dirty and is quicker to clean. Beading also means more of the crap ends of flying off the truck when driving, or sliding off as it continues to rain when parked. Beading simply means the surface is slick and hydrophobic... stuff is less likely to stick.

I use all the products everyone listed in the above posts. And there is no way you can only wash your truck with optimum no rinse. I too love the stuff, but sometimes you need the power washer and a bucket, unless you never get the truck dirty. The meguiars ceramic wax is excellent, IMO. I put it on before the horrible winter we had and it was STILL sheeting and beading this spring. That is impressive considering we had more road salt and brine on our roads than I’ve seen in the last 10 years and I washed my truck at least 20 times over the course of the winter. It also cleaned up really nicely this spring with a through hand wash, and you can use the stuff on ever surface of your ride.

Any suggestions for a center console armrest cleaner/conditioner. Found a light scratch on it today. I’ve got a bighorn sport, it appears to be textured real leather but ya never know now a days.

I don't be the one to say it, and I mean this in a totally respectable way, that beading is not as good as it should be. Chemical guys/Meguiars sells very basic and mediocre detailing supplies. If you were to go with other "high quality" brands such as cQuartz or gTechniq and do a legit ceramic coat on your vehicle the difference from this picture and the next would be night and day. What you're using is from them is just low quality band aids.

Correct, you do have to be careful when applying it because if you leave it on for to long it could cause "high" spots which if that happens, you have to buff out. I live in South Florida as well and the main reason I did it to my truck was to protect it from the harsh sun constantly beating down on it. I also drove it to Daytona last weekend and it got pounded by love bugs. My truck is to big to fit in the garage too, so what I did was put half under the garage awning, and the other end under a pop up tent and then waited until the entire truck was cool to the touch before I began working on it. It's not a super hard procedure, just very time consuming (I compounded and polished it before applying the ceramic).

I'm in Martin County, it's about 50 minutes north of Boca - I actually had a job offer in Boca working for the City of Boca a few months ago and almost took it until my job offered me another position where I'm at now.

You can, but you'd be using a lot of product. Dry is the best way to apply SiO2 sprays like the one he used. If you use it dry like a detailing spray, it will last a long time and offer the best results.

I have used the Meguiars Black vehicle wax and the Hybrid Ceramic wax as well as the Chemical Bros spot free detail spray and it looks pretty good. Still hate the bugs on the front bumper and windshield and wish there was something that coated them slicker besides the ceramic $$$ coating (if it helps with bug guts?)

Agree, although the one product from Armor All I use is their leather cleaner/conditioner. It’s fantastic. Go figure
