PREFACE:
It's been over a month since Lydia using the RamCares account said they would let me know when she got tracking info for the vehicle manual (the first one I got was for the wrong model, the second one never arrived, and now they've been on the third attempt for over a month).
My confidence right now in RamCares is not high. Thus, I am posting this publicly so hopefully a little sunlight warms up the oil and can get something moving...
A SYNOPSIS OF THE WARRANTY HELL:
I am running into problems with the warranty repair that was done. The dealership said they would cover the taxes of rental car. When I returned the rental car, Enterprise verified that the dealership would also pay the taxes. I got a charge from Enterprise on my credit card, I called Enterprise and they said they didn't charge me and I don't owe anything. I reported the credit card for fraud (the credit card company said the charge came from the other side of the country). I then got invoice from Enterprise saying I owe the taxes (the amount my credit card was fraudulently charged). I spent an hour on the phone playing phone tag to get the service manager to reconfirm with Enterprise that they would pay the taxes. Enterprise said they would rebill the dealership. I then get a letter from Enterprise saying I still owe them money.
What is worse, is that there is a problem with the driver door handle on the truck now, meaning another warranty repair, and possibly meaning more of this bologna.
This is garbage and not what I need to deal with right now. I'm in the middle of settling down after an overseas move. I'm an Air Traffic Controller retraining at a new facility (every facility is different and requires retraining when an ATC moves). I'm taking over as Scoutmaster at my old troop and trying to prevent it from falling apart. I'm helping out my physically-disabled parents. Getting a lawyer is one of the last things I want to do, but it's always a possibility. I've had success with the FTC, my senator, reaching out to CEOs, etc in the past when I've been railroaded after giving each party and level of help ample time to fix their issues.
I paid ~$50,000 on a new truck to not have to deal with this nonsense.
RamCares: I just sent a message in case my personal info was lost on your end.
