I want to add a sub to my truck
My truck already has the alpine system with sub
What’s the easiest route
In the past I’ve just used a line out converter on the rear door speakers
From what I’m reading it may not be that easy anymore
Anyone add a sub to there truck with this setup

I used the AMPPro, installed behind the radio, I have the 12" Uconnect, CH-41, that gave me RCA's to run to my amp, mounted behind the rear seat, then to my JL Audio subs under the rear seats.

... already a HUGE thread on this already, including photos, part numbers, etc.

scroll down after reading this and you can see some "similar threads" :)

So I decided to experiment and I’m glad I did
If all you are wanting to do is add a sub and amp and you already have the factory alpine system with sub all you’ll need to do is splice into the one of the three sets of voice coil wires of your existing sub for your line out converter
I also had already disconnected the active noise canceling wires because my exhaust was causing it to act up
If you add a sub you will need to do this

You do not need to disconnect ANC if you use the proper module, as mentioned earlier in the thread. Another benefit to using the module is that you get a true flat signal and not a EQd signal coming out of the amp.
