They may have done it but it is illegal if they get caught.
Please provide a source because it sounds like you're pulling crap out your rear-end. Is it right? No. Is it illegal? Doubt it. Dealers sell damaged-in-transit cars as new all the time without any disclosure.

Since you insist on being a ****** about it.
Ok.

State the law.

The screenshot of your phone is no good.

We are talking about a new vehicle that has a part removed and another new part put in place.
Nowhere does your phone's picture even state anything like that.

If the dealership takes a working part off and replaces it with another working part there is nothing wrong with what you posted.

Maybe you should stop talking out of your but, and or actually read these "laws" you seem to think exist.

also its says repair, borrow a part is not a repair, they take a brand new part and replace it with the exact same brand new part, not a use one, not a different brand one, exact same. both part have the exact same mopar part number and are new...

another example, it a tire(or other part) get damage during transport, they change that one tire for the exact same... still think its illegal??

illegal means breaking a official law. dont see them doing that, not event close to it

the build plant is in michigan, when the truck get damage in the lot or a part dosent past inspection, you really think the sell the truck as used?? or they change the part and ship it as a new truck

Right at the top of screenshot it has the number. You really are being a ******. It's right from the state of Michigan website. I really don't have to explain it to you anyway, because you are nobody. It is a FACT it is illegal to do that in Michigan. End of story.

If it is changed at the factory, it's not concidered built, and the factory can change parts. If it is damaged after the factory, It can not be repaired and sold as new. Any repairs MUST be DISCLOSED when that vehicle is sold.

You're still wrong.
Did you even read what you posted?

You can't repair something that is not broken bud.
Swapping a new working part with another new working part is not a repair.

It would basically be illegal for a dealer to take the part off of a new truck, replace it when it came in, and sell that truck as new. Maybe take it off of a demo, as they are sold as used.
Yes it would be, I wouldn't want to be the guy buying a new truck that was torn apart by the dealer. Would never be new again.

You realize once you leave the lot the vehicle isn't new.

You all overreacting to taking a new part off(like a MGU) is silly. Swapping new parts is a common practice when parts are hard to get. It's not a big deal

Like I stated in an earlier post, at least in the state of Michigan, it is illegal. I wouldn't want a vehicle that it was done to. Sometimes they make mid year changes. The assembly may be interchangeable, but parts of it not be. Say theoretically, they swap a front differential. They do a mid year upgrade in November, to a larger pinion shaft and bearing. They take that part from a truck built at the end of October. The new dif is built in January, the new style. 5 years down the road, it needs dif work. They order parts for an October built truck, but they don't fit.

They don't just grab a part from any vehicle. It has to be the exact match. Get over it, happens all the time.

How do you drive a used truck everyday?
