Vehicle Recovery

Has anyone had to help pull vehicle back up a boat ramp that either went too far into the water or could not get back up the ramp? If so, what equipment did you use and how did you do it?

I would think a tow strap attached to the vehicles tow hooks and then attached to your vehicle
