I had some time over the weekend and thought I would experiment. I had kept the Vararam from my 2015 when I traded for the current truck. So I thought I would see if it would fit on the 2019. Removed the stock unit and placed the new unit on as a mock up I used some blue chaulk and spread it lightly on the gasket which acts as the seal to the underside of the hood. It left its mark which indicated to me that it would seal well. Removed the radiator cover and cut to fit I had to retrofit a couple of spacers to help keep the cover from sagging. A little more to do there, Anyway it has really enhanced the exhaust growl when under acceleration, the intake howl is there also. Performance wise hard to tell it seems a bit more responsive. I was debating an exhaust upgrade however this sounds really nice and is there when I want it. No drown.

Excellent work! Good to finally see some more folks around here fabbing and making stuff fit instead of smashing the buy button on Amazon.

I really like the look and idea of this intake system. Hoping they make one for the 2019 or perhaps may get the 2018 and fab what needs to be done. Having owned a Challenger with a Shaker hood I know the intake sound must be awesome under load. Thank you for sharing this info. Looks great!

Spike, It really wasn't that much to get it right. I am surprised that a Vararam kit isn't already avialable for the 2019. After I completed the installation I was in touch with A tech from the company who was very interested in the install.

Well it still says 4th generation, but they added the 2019 year. not sure if that means you can get it for the 5th gen 2019 trucks or not, I just had not seen the 2019 before yesterday.

It should be a separate listing as it is slightly modified. They are probably referring to the 2019 Classic here.

They do have the new body style with the Vararam installed on the sites Facebook page and says available. I bet you’ll have to call them if you want the 5th gen Vararam.

I saw that. Its tempting to buy one, but I want to compare it to the Mopar intake first. I just wish it had a lid so it wasn't quite so open. I know the hood seals against it and its designed that way to get to the filter. I'm just worried about extra gunk getting in there.

FB post is not the company web site, which did not list the 5th gen unit.

for all i know the unit shown on FB could be a pre production unit. i will call them when the unit is listed for sale on the web site.

I received an email from them stating the 2018 fits the new 2019. Said it has slightly different installation instructions.

Anyone with this installed see the 1-2 mpg’s they are claiming
I really can't say that my mileage has changed. However I did install mine early on with only 1000 or so miles. It has kept me from having to do an exhaust upgrade as the induction roar is very satisfying.

Anyone have any worries or issues with anything extra being sucked in? My only worry is excess debris. Any insight in this? Or anyone that has ran this setup in previous models? The Ram Air by Mopar is almost a grand!!!! Ready in February last I heard. Not sure I want to spend that.
