I've had a mine a few years. Had to cut my engine bay shroud a bit to get it to fit, and I removed the top 3 slats from the Active Grill Shutter so air could constantly flow into it. It looks good, but the water catch underneath has torn off since it was just rubber held on with a couple plastic pins. Other than noise no real benefit as the OEM intake is really good. I've debated going back to OEM as I never filled the spot it took up, and it's easier to service since it's over on the side.

There are lots of us. You can search and find many posts on it. It's for looks only. I like mine, but don't expect any performance or mileage, contrary to what others say.
I've had mine for over five years. Verified improvement in 0-60 time over factory. Plus, IMO, it's just the best looking intake available, especially if you do car shows. Only issue I've had was the install thin "gasket" the filter sits on, in the base, shrunk a little and had a gap which let dirt in. Replaced it with a thicker more dense foam. No issues with the flaps underneath mentioned above. I did buy a second filter so I could clean one and not be without my truck while I wait for it to dry.
Yes you have to trim your shroud, it's in the instructions. Not a big deal. Some guys just leave it off instead of cutting it . I tried.mine a little different to keep the RAM lettering. No need to modify the grill shutters. It gets airflow. The grill shutters dont block the entire grill.

Don't know if it's the different grilles, but on my Rebel the shutters absolutely blocked airflow to the scoop, especially since I left my shroud on to also keep the RAM lettering. Behind my grille there's a plastic insert everywhere except the central portion, so most of the airflow comes straight through that area.

Unless buying used, I personally think it's low quality for the price.
You aren't force feeding air into the intake. Even with the shutters open. The engine is only going to suck in as much air as it needs. And that comes from in front of the radiator. The grill shutters are not a restriction. I left the radiator shroud on mine, kept the RAM lettering, and does not inhibit any airflow. Used a heat gun to hear up the plastic and lift it up away from the intake.
