2 weeks ago I bought a 2019 1500 Bighorn. Payload is 1788 lbs and max tow 8200. It came with a class 3 Curt hitch, which after some research, I find it is not rated for a weight distribution system. I need some recommendations for hitches. I’ll probably put a class 4 on it just in case I buy a bigger camper someday. My present one is only about 4000 lbs.

Class 2 cannot be used with a WDH. Class 3 should be rated for it

Some class 3 hitches are rated for weight distribution hitches and some aren't, depends on manufacturer.

The one on my truck is considered a partial bumper hitch. It has a bolt going through the bumper to help hold it. Yes, I found the 82215222AD hitch. Dealer website said it “may” fit my truck. If it does, I’ll order one.

Yeah partial bumper hitch Is def not rated for weight distribution. Believe it or not some class 4 hitches aren't even rated for weight distribution but its rare to see these.

Called the dealer, and they have to order it, so I‘ll go in and pay for it tomorrow.
Hopefully have it installed next week. I had no idea some class 3 and 4 hitches were not rated for weight distribution. I did not look at the hitch close enough when I bought the truck
