Probably just some "Analysis Paralysis" since I've done too much research without finding a specific answer. (Bolded the actual question for those who don't want to read the rest)
The scenario is that we just got our new-to-us 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie. 5.7 non-e-torque. This is our second Ram. Wife insisted one for her daily 5 years ago because it made her feel safe. Our recent accident proved her correct so we didn't even consider any other options.
She wants some auxiliary lighting/options added to the vehicle. Can I utilize the upfitter aux switches, power distribution box for underhood, and wiring if it did not come from the factory with those options? I saw in some of my research that there's a plug or connection under the steering column that needs to be there to use them.
If I can't use those, does anyone have a good aftermarket setup for say up to 6 light connections (probably not going that far) and considering power added to the bed?
Happy to answer any qualifying questions you guys have. Happy to just scroll the forums and see the daily plights and triumphs as well!
