Update on 12" Uconnect--7/26/2018

Anyone else get a notice of an update on the UConnect this morning?? Mine come up said update available .. So I am letting it run now

Ok.. things I noticed changed are so far.

Sirius presets work while in CarPlay/Android Auto and on home screen
Navigation Online search was changed to Search for places, restaurants, places

The update does eliminate your sat radio presets so you will have to reprogram those unless you have a profile you created. I had not. If I see any other changes I will let you know

I forgot to check that. I will . I was just doing a real fast once over. That is a good question.

12" Uconnect update takes 21 minutes to process. Do not expect it to tell you what it updates, but I will type more when I have a minute.

Agree on the radio being louder, but also improved ability to control radio stations from the steering wheel while using split screen.

If anyone else notices changes, please share your findings.

Wow! I updated mine this morning but didn't think to test the volume. If this is true, props to FCA. This is a pretty quick fix, it's nice to know they are looking at customers feedback.

Seems like a lot of issues fixed, but one problem I still have is the radio does not hold FM presets. I program them in and then after the car sits for a while and is restarted it goes back to the default presets. If you look in the manual on page 273 there is a picture of the 12” unit with the same presets that my truck goes back to.

I have not experienced that issue. Mine are always there. One thing I thought of that I need to check is in CarPlay if you have a destination mine never played a voice prompt it only dinged. I need to test to see if I have voice prompt in CarPlay after the update

I leave a iPad mini plugged In all the time as a music source. It still shows unknown when starting the truck unless you change sources and go back to usb. Then it shows the song info. That wasn’t fixed but a lot of stuff was.
