Just picked a 2021 Ram Built to Serve 4x4. Below the shifter knob and 4wd controls is a small black knob that turns. My wife and I cannot figure it out and cannot find anything in the book. Anyone know what this is? Thank you

There is no factory knob below the shifter so if there is something there it's something the dealer put in (assuming you bought it new).

Looks like a shift on the fly tuning switch that we use in the diesel trucks but have no idea what it would be in a hemi? Can you trace the wires and see where it goes? Definitely not stock.

Weird. Probably some dealer installed thing. I had a weird button double stick taped about the same area, but it was some tracking device so I so quickly deinstalled.
Does the knob turn?

Yes it turns and has a little directional line on it I’m going to take it to the original selling dealer near me and ask

I suspect this is a dimmer twitch added for interior lights. It looks like something a previous owner might do but not a dealership. If this truck was used when you bought it, see if it turns on and/or dims some interior or external lights at night.

PS: I posted before you posted. Does it boost or reduce the bass?

Well, if it's not a dimmer or remote bass control, then my alternate vote is a self-destruct button. 🙃
