Under carriage rust

Has anyone seen this before?

Yesterday I had wheels and tires installed and while on the rack we noticed the under belly on my truck is full of rust all over. From breaks to fittings even mufflers. After inspecting we noticed truck has a visual water line and its appearent in the spare tire as well. We checked the door sills and found what looks like salt or white build up in lower gaskets.

What did I buy? I love my truck but something doesnt add up.

Probably in the snow belt. I couldn’t believe how bad my ‘17 was. I paid for the under body protection on mine as I didn’t want that happening to my new truck.
